4. Data Warehouse

ETL and ELT are the two driving forces behind a data warehouse system.

5. Datastage ETL

9. Teradata
- Developed and used various SQL queries, Joins, Procedures for TeraData using TeraData utilities like BTEQ and SQL Assistant.
- Created stored procedures in TERADATA SQL Assistant.
10. PL/SQL
- Worked on programs for scheduling Data loading and transformations using Data Stage from UDB/DB2 to Oracle 8i using PL/SQL.
- Developed SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, cursors for implementing business rules and transformations.
11. Extraction
- Worked on design and developing data extraction programs using DataStage client component Designer.
- Involved in preparing technical design/specifications for data Extraction, Transformation and Loading.
12. Toad
Toad is software that manages non-relational and relational databases that database analysts, developers, and database administrators use. Toad helps in minimizing the cuts in delivery timelines of projects. It also helps in maximizing the investment made by users in the field of data technology by automating all the processes.
- Used TOAD to interact with Oracle and used SQL Trace and Explain plan to improve the performance of the Jobs.
- Experience using SQL Plus and Toad for Oracle database.
13. Java
Java is a widely-known programming language that was invented in 1995 and is owned by Oracle. It is a server-side language that was created to let app developers "write once, run anywhere". It is easy and simple to learn and use and is powerful, fast, and secure. This object-oriented programming language lets the code be reused that automatically lowers the development cost. Java is specially used for android apps, web and application servers, games, database connections, etc. This programming language is closely related to C++ making it easier for the users to switch between the two.

- Automated whole process for encrypting members PII information using shell scripts that triggered Java script (SHA-256 algorithm).
14. XML
XML is a medium for storing and transporting data that is independent of software and hardware. XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language. XML, like HTML, is a markup language that was created to store and transport data. It was created with the intention of being self-descriptive. There are no predefined tags in the XML language. Another feature is that XML is extensible.
- Worked on XML stages for extracting data from XML input stage and loading it to XML format using XML output stage.
- Design, build, and manage complex data integration process using various Flat Files and EDI(XML files).
15. Windows XP
- Experience in usage of Operating Systems such as UNIX, WINDOWS XP/NT/2000/98/95.
- Prepared a production monitoring and support handbook Environment: Informatica power center 6.1/7.1, Oracle, windows XP, MS office Suite
