The group really is incredibly diverse, but common ground is found with a healthy love of competition and problem-solving. While it isn't the prototypical start-up with the beanbag chair conference rooms and unearthly amounts of cold brew, there are definitely some quirks that make Datical stand out.

    Ronak, a Professional Services Engineer, said, "Hanging in our main hallway there are caricatures of each employee, a light-hearted and funny roll-call of us all. We have Friday Lunches where we gather and enjoy lunch provided by Datical. The free lunch is nice, but the thing I like most is how it has an almost family holiday meal feel to it, on a weekly basis, making us feel connected."

    Culture is very important at Datical. They even have Ministers of Culture, to keep the company in check and make sure that it is doing the best it can to maintain positive vibes. One of those Ministers of Culture said, "I have always felt that the people at Datical are friendly and easy-going. However, never underestimate our mentality of 'get it done and do it right.' We encourage transparency, compassion and bright ideas in a fast-paced, yet warm environment. We aren't the types to simply lounge on bean bag chairs and drink cold brew all day."

    Datical also nurtures creativity and empowers its people to think outside of the box. Krystal, a QA Manager with Datical, pointed out a few ways that she works to do this with her team. "I try to lead by example and be supportive. When they hit bumps or challenges along the way, I encourage my team to come up with their own solutions and help guide them to the most successful outcome. Ultimately all of my engineers are uber-smart and individually resourceful -- so I want them to see that and let their voices be heard," Krystal said.

    The Datical office is located in the bustling, quirky and hip Austin, TX. Even better, is located in the city's brewery district. It is surrounded by several of the coolest breweries in not only Austin but the country. The office is also very commuter-friendly. It is close to several different main routes and has a nice sized parking lot with free parking. The office is also only a few short steps away from a Gold'S Gym, where employees get a discounted membership.
