We are open Monday-Friday with overtime available. Some overtime is mandatory, and work hours adjusted for necessary business reasons, e.g. training, order demand.
First Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm
The Operator works with chemical processing equipment to formulate standard or custom products according to product specifications. Every day the Operator will track the production schedule, follow batch sheet instructions to accurately and efficiently set up, weigh, measure, and mix raw materials in proper sequence. Next the Operator will add ingredients either manually or with pumps and meters, accurately record the required information on the batch sheet, and submit samples to QA. Finally, the Operator will prepare approved finished product for the container and label it for shipping. Overall, the Operator must be adept in learning and safely executing formulating procedures for the Production Department.
Additional Job Duties
Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeeping (e.g. sweep, mop, dust, put items away in proper areas) in the facility according to 5S.
Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP's, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment. Use of a respirator is required for certain batches.
Troubleshoots problems with equipment, respond to system notifications and make required adjustments as needed.
Experience & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 3 years of chemical manufacturing experience in a batch environment with chemical reactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to read, write and speak English. Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude; manufacturing experience with valves, pumps, flow meters, condensers, sensors, PLC's, filters, etc.
Good problem-solving ability; makes efficient use of time within shift directives.
Be able to demonstrate accurate math calculations.
Ability to be trained and safely operate a forklift.
Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
