David's Bridal started in 1950 as a small bridal salon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
South Floridian entrepreneur Phil Youtie purchased the salon in 1972 and opened several others throughout the state.

In 1990 he teamed up with childhood friend Steven Erlbaum, who was the founder of the Philadelphia-based Mr.
In 1996 the company named Robert Hurth as president.
In 1999 Erlbaum said that the company's biggest challenge was finding enough people to work in its stores.
In 2000, DEA worked with the Land Surveyors of Washington Association and the US Army Corps of Engineers to definitively measure Mount Rainier in Washington State using GPS equipment.
As part of a project management oversight contract with the Federal Transit Administration, DEA was asked to oversee $4.5 billion of transit construction addressing the damage that occurred in Lower Manhattan in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The United States Green Building Council awarded the winery’s barrel-aging cellar Silver Certification in 2002.
Our founder, David Evans, retired from DEA in 2016.
