· Must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program before becoming a lifeguard at Idlewild & SoakZone. This program includes basic life support skills, first aid, and general water safety training. (NOT PAID)
All Lifeguard candidates must pass a demonstration of basic swimming and water ability. This prerequisite includes a 200-meter swim, retrieval of a 10-lb brick from 8 feet of water, and two minutes of treading water without using their hands.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor Laws
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
·Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from work
· Demonstrated ability to successfully perform all swim tests, water rescues, and basic life support training
