Under limited supervision, performs blood tests and studies morphology of constituents of blood to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs testing personnel and general supervisor responsibilities as defined by Glossary of Terms, CLIA regulations, HCFA-114.

Performs venipunctures and other pre-testing patient preparation.
Performs other routine tests and prepares necessary reagents in various areas (i.e., Serology, Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, and Urinalysis).
May function in one area of laboratory and perform certain specialized tests and/or use special equipment in that area.

JOB SUMMARY
Performs laboratory analysis and quality control testing following clearly defined criteria
Reports any unusual conditions to the Senior Tech, Coordinator over that area, in the absence of the Director or the Pathologist.
