Handle all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenance, including: preparing, filing and docketing trademark applications; preparing responses to PTO office actions; preparing and filing renewals and declarations of use, collecting evidence of use for prosecution, maintenance and conflict matters, drafting client correspondence, recording assignments and other documents, copyright searching and filing
Instruct and work with foreign counsel on clearance, trademark filings, office actions, renewals and other prosecution and conflict matters. Monitor and assist with enforcement activities related to protected brands, including: docketing and tracking of deadlines and action items, investigation of possible trademark infringement, assisting with drafting cease & desist letters, and drafting of documents for filing with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
Perform internet research projects and other special projects on an as‑needed basis
Perform and review trademark and copyright searches
Generate and edit status reports
Provide support to trademark practitioners in other offices as needed
Identify and document standard operating procedures

Case Management

Target Salary Range
$90,000 - $105,000, if located in California

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Five or more years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), legal terminology and formats (legal documents).
* Types accurately at a minimum of 60 wpm
* Thorough working knowledge of other applications (NetDocs, Adobe Pro, InTapp Time, Emburse)
* Experience with collaborating with support staff
