Although the name of the position is Constant Attendant (CA), the position has two distinct types of observation.
As a CA, the observation of patients is less strict and could mean observing more than one patient.
As a 1:1, this type of observation is strict and requires remaining with the patient at all times at an arm's length. Patients on 1:1 observation are on suicide precautions or restrained for behavioral management.
The expectation is to work 4 (four) shifts per month.
Constant Attendant Job Responsibilities:
Remain alert and in visual contact with the patient at all times.
Assist the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse.
Assist the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
1:1 Job Responsibilities:
Maintain direct 1:1 constant observation.
Keep patient within an arm's length at all times, even when patient is bathing and toileting.
Remain alert and in visual contact with the patient at all times.
Assist the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse.
Assist the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
Constant Attendant Education and Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience preferred, but not required.
Constant Attendant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Assists with scheduling of appointments for services, including prescriber appointments, group therapies, and other services, at the discretion of the Director of BHS

* Assists patients with accessing services that are recommended/ordered by DKH behavioral health providers in the outpatient, emergency, and inpatient settings.
* Provides community outreach and represents DKH behavioral health as a liaison in community sponsored events in which DKH attendance and/or participation is encouraged. These outreach opportunities are coordinated under the discretion of the Director of BHS
* Assists in other duties for all BH service lines under the direction of the RN Navigator or Director of BHS
Patient Care Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Education in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field, and/or post-graduate education in a similar field is preferred.
* Medical terminology/keyboarding skills preferred.
Experience:
* 2+ years clinical experience in Healthcare or comparable equivalent required.

Job Summary As the Sleep Technologist, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team working under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D.) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep study disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services of patient care and education. Job Responsibilities
Performs but is not limited to full sleep studies, titration studies, HSTs, MSLTs, MWTs, sleep staging and scoring using polysomnography equipment.
Collect, analyze and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent, medical and social history), and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustment if necessary (i.e., computers, amplifiers, PAP machines, oximeters).
Actively participate in department projects and programs including department inservice education programs as requested.
Education and Experience Requirements
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or other accredited registry (such as American Association of Sleep Medicine) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required.
Three years experience or completion of formal training program in polysomnography preferred.
RCP background preferred.
Knowledge of EEG technology preferred.
CPR certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to trouble shoot computer, PAP machine and any other sleep equipment as needed.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Assembles, sets up and operates polysomnography equipment as associated with patient and computer as determined by specific testing required according to accepted standards.
Explain pre-testing, testing and post testing procedures to the patient.
Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary.
Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) testing and proper mask fitting.
Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.).
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility. Possesses ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements to age-specific needs. Consistently seeks ongoing education and training to maintain an awareness of how best to provide appropriate care based on age-specific needs.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations.
Accurately transcribes physicians' orders, completes all necessary forms, requisitions, and communications required to implement orders.
Schedules and monitors patient appointments; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities.
Performs routine specialized procedures, which could include sterile dressing changes under established protocols.
Medical Assistant Required Skills and Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Current CPR training required.
Successful completion of CMA or CNA Program preferred.
Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred.
Experience:
One to three years' experience in clinical position preferred.
Prior computer experience required.
One to three years' experience as a nursing or medical assistant or in a related field preferred.

WIC Nutritionist Job Summary:
The W.I.C. (Women, Infants, Children) Nutritionist is responsible for the nutrition services component of the WIC Program including nutrition education, information and referrals to participants of WIC. The WIC Nutritionist is able to use independent judgment when working with families regarding nutrition services.
WIC Nutritionist Job Responsibilities
* Counsel's groups, individuals and is nutritional spokesperson for local WIC agency. Interprets, evaluates and utilizes current pertinent research relating to nutritional care of WIC participants.
* Assists the Program Nutritionist and Site Nutritionist in the nutrition education and breast-feeding program for the local agency. Assesses high risk participants and implements nutritional plans.
* Assists the Coordinator, Program Nutritionist and Site Nutritionist in the development of the nutrition component of the annual WIC plan in compliance with Federal and State regulations and guidelines. Certifies, evaluates, determines medical and/or nutritional eligibility for existing and/or new clients.
* Attends WIC In-service meetings for nutritionist and participants on appropriate state committees. Pursues professional continuing education.
WIC Nutritionist Education and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree, from a 4-year institution accredited by a recognized regional accrediting body with a major in foods and nutrition, community nutrition, nutrition education or nutritional sciences is required.
* 2 years of responsible experience in nutrition in a health agency or health care facility, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
* Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation/Approval of Dietetics Education (ACEND) accredited/approved supervised practice program (e.g. a Coordinated Program, Dietetic Internship, or Approved Pre-Professional Practice/AP4 Program) required OR;
* Master's degree in nutrition education can qualify for one year of work experience. Persons with a master's degree in nutrition who do not have a bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition must have successfully completed the equivalent subject matter at the graduate level to compensate for any courses not completed at the undergraduate level.

Responsible for performing the clerical duties of the unit and facilitates clear communication to support the smooth functioning of the unit. A UR/PCT will be under the direction of the nurse to assist with specific patient activities including performing front desk patient management, administrative support, basic patient care needs such as bathing, feeding, vitals, activities of daily living, and transportation of patients. UR/PCT Key Responsibilities
* Meets the physical demands of the position.
* Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress.
* Meets skill certification requirements for designated units.
* Remain alert and in visual contact with the patient at all times.
* Assist the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse.
* Assist the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
* Completes all necessary forms, requisitions, communications and special projects as assigned. Accurately transcribes physician's orders (when applicable).
* Assists patients and nurses as necessary with ADL, Vital Signs, and patient Plan of Care.
UR/PCT Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Medical terminology/keyboarding skills preferred.
* Upon hire, a current CNA certification, or completion of one year of clinical experience in an accredited RN nursing program, or EMT-B, or equivalent (i.e., documented/verified years of acute care hospital experience as a CNA) required.
* Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
* Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.
Experience:
* Experience in clerical or receptionist position preferred.
* Previous experience in an acute care environment preferred.
