Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affilated or hospital trained. Completed 40 hours of a documented mammography training program MQSA equivalent.
Licensure:
Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation.
Experience:
At least 5 active years in a department with mammography experience
Certifications:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current BLS certification.
Other:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Good computer skills.
Preferred Other:
Additional languages preferred.

Supports the educational needs for assigned units/clinics including classroom, clinical experiences and learning technologies.
Implements Tenet comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the nursing staff, with specific focus for his/her units/clinics, which supports the Tenet model of professional nursing practice.
Ensures all program/ course revisions meet the Department of Nursing and regulatory expectations and standards. Adheres to national education practice standards and stays abreast of current research into nursing education practice.
