Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise is vital for critical respiratory interventions and patient well-being.
Every day you will perform arterial punctures, continuous ventilation, airway maintenance, emergency care, infection control, isolation procedures, mechanical ventilator operation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and medical gas administration.
To be successful, you will possess advanced clinical skills in all aspects of respiratory care across age groups, meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to patient safety and infection control, and the ability to perform effectively in emergencies.
Perform aerosol and humidity therapy. Administer aerosolized medication. Administer chest physiotherapy procedures. Administer medical gas and operate analyzers to determine saturation of oxygen and other gases in the blood.
Performs basic and some advanced duties of Respiratory Care as outlined in the American Association of Respiratory Care's Clinical Practice Guidelines: ***************************************
Respond to emergency call throughout the hospital and perform emergency respiratory care procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Provide basic and some advanced life support measures to all patient populations concentrating on area of expertise: Airway and Ventilation.
Performs electrocardiograph testing and related procedures.
Performs EKG testing to all patient populations and have basic knowledge to determine discrepancies in machine interpretations.

Direct Care Staff Responsibilities & Duties
Care & Supervision:Provide on-site monitoring, care, and supervision to mentally ill residents. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized client needs and service plans. Supervise residents in taking medications, as per physician instructions. Room checks and light housekeeping. Ensure compliance with house rules and regulations. Provide crisis intervention and perform timely care procedures, as needed.
Group Activities:Assist with organizing and supervising group recreational, social and cultural activities and outings.
Instruction: Provide modeling and instruction for residents in daily living skills such as personal care, interpersonal relations, domestic skills, utilizing community resources, budgeting, shopping, and maintaining an orderly home environment.
Transportation:Provide transportation for group outings.
Meetings: Participate in staff meetings and training activities, as required.
Other:Maintain client confidentiality. Report any unusual situations or problems to the supervisor without delay. Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience providing services to the mentally ill or other populations is required.
American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency is strongly considered but not necessary.
Valid California driver's license, reliable automobile, and good driving history, as demonstrated by DMV record check.
Be in good health, and be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing duties, as verified by recent health screening & TB tests.
Be of good character and have no criminal record, other than minor traffic violations, as verified by fingerprinting and criminal background checks.
Good written and verbal communication skills, personal characteristics of warmth, enthusiasm, sense of humor, responsibility, and respect for others.

Here's What You'll Do
The Direct Support Professionals supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life. The Direct Support Professionals promotes the health, safety and well-being of residents. A Direct Support Professionals serves
as an advocate for our clients.
Essential Functions
Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
Assist clients with bathroom needs.
Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
Education and Experience:
Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
Must have First Aid / CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a California Driver's License
Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
