6. Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established
procedures.
7. Attend periodic and special training and in-services related to medical

8. Assist students with braces and other orthopedic equipment to lift, position, and
reposition students as needed.
9. Assist teacher in maintaining a variety of records related to student progress . Implement positive behavior intervention support policies.
10. Collaborate with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff as
needed.
11. Assist students in social interactions. Work cooperatively with others and independently as needed.
12. Perform other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.

Provide and assist the individuals with direct care skills such as personal care and hygiene.
Teach and assist the individuals with daily living skills.
Assist with adaptive equipment and therapies (i.e., physical, occupational, and speech).
Explore work interests with the individual and assist in preparing for job or school entry.
Develop and assist with relationships within the community to establish social connections, community connections and relationships.
Arrange and supervise activities including shopping trips, social outings, and doctor's appointments for each individual.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):
A valid driver's license and 6 months driving experience
18 years of age
Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
A team player who can be flexible with their schedule
Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language
Preferred, but not required:
Previous Personal Care Aide, Caregiver, Direct Support Professional (DSP), or Direct Care Worker experience
Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism

Daycare Provider Assistant Job In Selinsgrove, PA
We are looking for motivated and caring individuals to work with school-age children in SUMMIT's before- and after-school programs that are located in our local elementary schools. These positions would fit well as a full time or part-time job for retired school teachers, current student teachers or substitutes. Must have good communication skills and an interest in child development.
**QUALIFICATIONS:** Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years' experience working with young children.
Preferred Education: Child Development Credential (CDA) or 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services, plus one year of experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:** Assist the head teacher with the daily functions and general planning for morning and afternoon programs and special events. Oversee the daily functions and supervision in absence of the head teacher. Be emotionally responsive and supportive of the individual development of each child. Supervise and interact with children in all activities. Promote positive communication with parents. Maintain health and safety standards of the program.

**HOURS & SALARY:** Part-time, Monday-Friday, after school.
