Exodus House provides transitional residential services to adult males referred by the Department of Corrections. This is a 12 bed facility for young adult men with an average stay of 90-120 days. Lutheran Social Services (LSS) - Exodus House is located in Hudson, Wisconsin. With support from our counselors and supervisor, our Adult Residential Support Professionals perform work involving the care, services, and treatment of clients seeking services in Addictions and Restorative Justice (ARJ) facilities (Substance Use Disorder and/or criminogenic risk/needs/responsivity factors). This is a continuous posting in anticipation of future full-time (40 hours/week), benefit eligible opportunities on 1st shift. Essential Duties and responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Supports, interacts with, and monitors residents within established policies and procedures, providing positive role modeling Records observations relating to actions and behavior of residents and maintains records and reports as required Performs general housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed May organize and distribute clothing, bedding and other supplies Provides medication monitoring or medication administration as outlined in specific program policies Provides information concerning status of clients to external partners within established guidelines. Join our team as a Doggy Day Care Attendant! You'll supervise playgroups, help keep everyone safe and happy, keep our spaces clean and healthy, and provide friendly service to pet parents. Your primary hours will be scheduled in our day care program. What You'll Do Dog Care & Playgroup Supervision Supervise dog playgroups and keep play safe, positive, and low-stress. Maintain constant visual observation of dogs and spread attention across the group. Use proper dog handling and introduction procedures as trained. Monitor new dogs closely and communicate any concerns to management right away. Report unusual behavior, injuries, eliminations, or concerns immediately. Follow the playroom checklist and complete incident reports when needed. Carry a working 2-way radio while supervising dogs. Communicate clearly and kindly with customers. Cleaning & Facility Care Scoop waste and clean accidents immediately. Dust mop/wet mop floors as assigned. Empty trash and disinfect indoor/outdoor areas. Clean and disinfect boarding suites. Wash and sanitize water bowls, Kongs, and toys. Customer Service & Support (as needed) Greet customers and help bring dogs into the playroom. Track attendance as needed. Answer phones and assist with basic office tasks as needed. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED. Customer service experience and strong communication skills. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. Animal care experience (personal or professional). Self-motivated and able to work well on a team. Reliable transportation. Available between 6:00 AM-6:00 PM and able to work weekends. Physical Requirements Stand/walk for most of an 8-hour shift. Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive cleaning tasks. Work around noise, odors, pet dander/fur, and cleaning products. Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor areas in varying temperatures/weather. Able to safely handle dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Able to stay focused and attentive in a very stimulating, high-energy environment (dogs, noise, movement, distractions) while keeping safety the top priority. Lift/carry up to 40-50 lbs.
