ABOUT THE ROLE
Paladin is seeking an enthusiastic Commissioning Provider to support the building goals for our Owner partners. As a Commissioning Provider, you will be responsible for defining performance targets, reviewing designs and submittals, verifying installation and coordination, completing functional verification testing, collaborating on issues resolution and transitioning operations to facilities staff. The Commissioning Provider will be responsible for managing the commissioning process with the intent to show that the results achieved match or exceed client targets.
This is a full time position out of our Lexington, KY office and can be on-site or hybrid. This position requires regular travel, up to 50% within 250 miles of Lexington, KY, rarely overnight. You will be traveling to active building construction projects and will be working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
WHAT YOULL DO
Lead the commissioning process from Owner Project Requirement definition to Warranty Phase services
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and building automation systems
Prepare construction checklists, system verification checklists, and functional testing forms for a variety of building equipment and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and protection, security)
Manage the production of the deliverables in a high-quality manner consistent with stated standards and compliance paths for certification programs
Measure construction process activities to assure that systems installed are consistent with planning and project documents
Manage and maintain project budgets through good application of time, resources, and technical skills

Maintain commissioning logs and equipment checklists
Provide weekly reports on assigned metrics, projects, and communications to demonstrate actions that drive completion of monthly production goals
Read and understand schematics, technical diagrams, and construction project documentation to conduct complete reviews of the installation and operation of building systems
Diagnose and resolve equipment and systems problems and coordinating testing until the problems are resolved
Resolve issues using a persistent and collaborative approach
Deliver documents that are well-written, technically accurate, and well-formatted
Duties will be added, removed, or modified as necessary
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in commissioning or systems verification for the institutional and commercial building markets
Excellent knowledge of MEP systems and familiar with controls, applicable codes, standards and industry practices
One of these certifications is required: Professional Engineer License, CCP, CBCP, CxA
Experience using Engineering and Construction software, such as Revit, Bluebeam, ProCore, eComm, Autodesk360, Cx Alloy, Building Test
Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems including air distribution systems, hydronic distribution systems, central utility plant operations, generators and power distribution, lighting controls, and Building Automation Systems
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background check to work with correctional facilities and primary and secondary educational facilities
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision while planning, scheduling, and completing tasks within established deadlines
Ability to be flexible hours and occasional weeks as required by testing methodologies and project site conditions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extended periods working on a computer and computer accessories (keyboard, mouse, etc.)
Travel locally up to 50%, occasional national travel
Required to wear necessary PPE on job sites and will be working outdoors in all weather conditions
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and smell
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally

14. Report changes in functional status or obvious injuries to Nurse or Clinical Director.
15. Maintain professionalism with other staff, administration, and residents in all interactions.
16. Maintain good communication with co-workers, administration, families, and residents.
17. Maintain a clean and safe environment for staff, residents, and families.
18. Provide personal support to the residents when dealing with the stressors of dementia. Use a calm voice to reassure and redirect as necessary.
19. Document daily activities, intake, output, and assistance given in Service Minder.
20. Follow Policy and Procedures for admissions, change of conditions, and other unit functions.
21. Respond to resident emergencies; provide first aid; arrange for further medical evaluation and transport if necessary.
