POSITION SUMMARY
The Recreation Attendant (RA) assists the Recreation Lead in planning, organizing, executing, and leading recreation activities at the campground such as arts and crafts, games, sports, dramatics, music, social activities, hobbies, and themed weekends. The RA is an enthusiastic, outgoing, creative team member who enjoys working with people of all ages. Being a people person with an engaging smile is imperative when relating with guests. This is a highly visible, customer-centric position that requires strong interpersonal customer service skills. Create an environment that is comfortable, fosters teamwork, allows everyone to be themselves, and reinforces KOA's culture that camping is fun and for everyone.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Help in preparations for events from start to finish.
Assist in creating a detailed events calendar that cohesively supports the campground, and guests of all age ranges.
Create supply lists and provide Recreation Lead as needed.
Take pictures of activities and obtain necessary photo release documentation for all individuals in photos.
In coordination with the marketing department, prepare fun and engaging social media posts.
Coordinate and prepare all food and beverage items, equipment, awards, and entertainment as needed for each event.
Maintain and clean recreation equipment and facilities.
Always keep recreation areas and facilities clean and free of debris.
Greet new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining rules, and encouraging their participation.
Explain the rules of activities and instruct participants at a variety of skill levels
Enforce safety rules to prevent injury.
Modify activities to suit the needs of specific groups, such as seniors or small children.
Administer basic first aid if needed and notify emergency medical personnel when necessary.
Clean, set-up, and breakdown the equipment that is used in recreational activities daily.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness while promoting an atmosphere of fun.
Maintain health standards and ensure guests and team members are in a safe and secure environment.
Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale and is dedicated to delivering KOAs Culture, Mission, Values and Goals.

The Department of Medicine has developed a Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program in collaboration with the Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Psychiatry. This program is supported by EVMS and Sentara Health. The goal of this program is to provide top-notch outpatient and inpatient clinical care to patients with sickle cell disease. We are looking for Advanced Practice Providers (APP), a nurse practitioner (NP) or a physician assistant (PA), who will function as a clinical provider in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine. The APP will participate in all aspects of patient care and will participate in the supporting roles of consultant and educator as indicated. The clinical practice will mostly focus on clinical care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic under supervision of clinical faculty. The clinical practice may also include provision of primary care to all types of patients.
Responsibilities
Independently assess, diagnose, & develop treatment plans for patients with sickle cell disease as well as patients in the area of Primary Care in accordance with protocols and standards of care.
Promote a schedule of health promotion examinations and interventions in our patient population
Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and prescribe, dispense or deliver medications under a collaborative practice agreement.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings and orders appropriate diagnostic studies.
Provide anticipatory guidance and counseling to patients/families.
Document patient assessment and plan of care in the medical record and generate appropriate outgoing correspondence.
Be familiar with documentation requirements to insure proper billing.
Initiate and coordinate referrals to other health care team members or agencies.
Serve as a consultative resource to nursing staff.
Participate in the development, utilization and evaluation of resources to meet patient/family educational needs.
Provide education to external agencies, community and other health professionals.
Participate in development and implementation of divisional and departmental quality assessment/improvement/research programs and processes.
Monitor task module of the electronic health record to insure timely response.
Responsible for administrative activities and special projects as assigned.
Contribute toward the achievement of divisional and departmental goals.

Job Description Ascension Episcopal Day School is accepting applications for a fulltime Assistant Teacher. Pay is $15 per hour with some benefits. Hours 7:45-4:45pm . Ascension Day School serves children ages 6 weeks thru 5 years. Our program is designed to cultivate the cognitive, social, physical, creative, spiritual, and emotional development of each child in a caring educational environment. The Assistant Toddler Teacher will be responsible for helping the Lead Teacher develop and maintain a nurturing and creative community for 12 students ages 12-26 months. We are an early education center not a day care and we have high expectations for quality interactions between teachers and students.
Duties
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Assist in the implementation of curriculum conducive to the cognitive, physical, social, creative, spiritual and emotional development of young children.
Actively engage students in activities and explorations that encourage curiosity, creativity, movement, and problem-solving appropriate to their development levels.
Model developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques.
Assist in the maintenance of attendance and childcare records for the classroom.
Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating information on a continuous basis and attending staff meetings.
Participate in staff development opportunities and maintain knowledge of current child development practices.
Consistently maintain open and friendly relationships with each child's family.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
Assist with school health practices including cleaning/sterilizing the classroom throughout the day and basic childcare routines such as diapering, cleaning noses, and washing hands.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
One year of experience in an early education center.
Some college-level courses in early education or a related field.
Early education training including knowledge of early education teaching methods and child development theory.
Effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide direct care to residents and contribute to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the resident's condition to the Resident Care Director immediately. May participate in routine activities of resident's care activities, including daily living.
Assisting residents with lifts, moves, and transports, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
Responds to inquiries relating to requests from residents, visitors, and other personnel promptly and courteously within given time frames and established policy.
Is knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and provides support to the residents according to their care plan. Contributes to the care planning process by providing the charge nurse or other care planning staff with specific information and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors promoting a homelike environment.
Fully understands all aspects of residents' rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to the charge nurse or administrative staff incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violation of residents' rights.
Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials. Also providing care that maintains each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents and by applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas.
