Help job seekers learn about working at Dayton Freight
The owners of DFL teach their Management to treat employees like family. I’ve had great luck sitting down with any of my Terminal Managers/Supervisors for personal talks.
Cons of working at Dayton Freight
They REQUIRE Safety Toe Shoes which can set you back up to $200 a year but have not been willing to give employees any type of reimbursement or at least paying half of the employees receipt as many companies provide. They do not offer Anniversary date or Birthdays off as many of their competitors do. They don’t have be best 401K program, they’ve lowered their match percentage over the years from it’s start.
Dayton Freight Benefits
Although they cut this benefit in half after your first year, they do have an annual clothing allowance of a large variety of clothing (not safety shoes). Employee Appreciation Week or EAW as they call it is a week long fun of every terminal manager cooking and doing fun things with employees to include giving out gifts.
