The IT Support Specialist is responsible for ongoing operation, support, and improvement of laptops, applications, servers, networks, and technical systems of DCIDS. Key responsibilities this position will perform include: Fields, prioritizes, and troubleshoots multiple Help Desk requests. Creates, closes out tickets, and documents solutions. Identifies and escalates trends in requests to IT Infrastructure Administrators or IT Support Supervisor and collaborates to ensure root cause resolution. Assists in the administration, licensing, and inventory of laptops, applications, servers, networks, and technical systems of DCIDS. Acts as a resource and engages DCIDS staff in developing and implementing application and technological process changes at a staff level. Provides individual and group instruction or training, as needed. Maintains a working knowledge of industry standards to recommend and update information systems policies, procedures, diagrams, and documentation. Provides excellent customer service to all staff and works without direct supervision to handle internal customer issues. Regularly review and refine troubleshooting practices by analyzing common issues, providing helpful insights to end users, and staying informed on technology trends to drive efficient and effective solutions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have: Information Technology related associates degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years hands on IT experience supporting servers, desktops, laptops, and systems in a business environment. 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC and server operating systems (MS Windows, Office). Prior experience in the following areas preferred: Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems Office 365 Administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Azure Active Directory) 2012-2019 Windows Server Technical service experience IP Networking Knowledge (VLANS, subnets, routing) Administering enterprise level Anti-Virus systems Administering Windows updates Build and deploy images for computer deployment Active Directory (security, group policy, federation) Relevant IT related certifications are preferred Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, office applications, and Active Directory. SUMMARY FUNCTION: The In-house Family Care Coordinator is responsible for providing support for organ donation activities within the assigned facility/facilities to maximize opportunities for organ donation. Responsible for medical management of donors prior to recovery activities. Directs the placement of anatomical gifts as necessary. Provides transplant surgeons with information necessary to determine appropriate recipients. Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and perioperative management of the donor when necessary. Provides support to Hospital Development Coordinator, in the assigned facility, to identify formal and informal leaders, assesses their respective roles, degree of influence and needs. Works collaboratively with these leaders and utilizes their expertise to improve and promote donation. Assists in policy and procedure development. Functions as an expert clinical resource for the hospital regarding organ and tissue donation. Will visually assess donors, interpret charts, document information and communicate findings. Collaborates with hospital and medical staff to provide potential donor families with accurate and timely information regarding the patient's current clinical course. Maintains communication with hospital staff and attending physician regarding the potential donor family's understanding of the prognosis and acts as a family advocate to the health care team as necessary. In the event of neurological deterioration and/or cardiac cessation, provides education to the potential donor family to include signs and symptoms of brain death, the process of diagnosing brain death, or cardiac cessation and withdrawal of support. As appropriate, discusses organ Family Care Coordinator and tissue donation opportunities with the potential donor family with the goal being to obtain authorization for donation. In the event the potential donor stabilizes and is no longer considered a potential organ donor, establishes an appropriate support system in collaboration with the health care staff, brings closure to the relationship with the family and returns if needed or requested. Provides appropriate information for the bereavement program to all potential organ and tissue donor families who wish to participate. As appropriate, provides a follow-up letter to donor families. Facilitates donor family and recipient communication in accordance with company policy and procedure. Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL TRAITS: Walks, stands and sits. The Organ Recovery Coordinator (ORC) has a work schedule of 12-hours per shift. Employees will work either day or night shifts (from 8:00 - 8:00). Employees working night shift receive an additional $5 per hour. Employees should plan to work 15 days per month.
