1975: The company's first branded product, an oil-filled portable heater, is launched under Guiseppe De'Longhi.
As part of this effort, the company made its first acquisition, of Supercalor, in 1979.
By 1980, the company had grown sufficiently to attempt to conquer a new and important market--the United States.

The new millennium begins with an event that marks and celebrates the company's outstanding growth: in 2001, De’ Longhi's shares start trading on Milan's stock exchange.
2001: The company acquires U.K. firm Kenwood Appliance, along with its Ariete brand.
De'Longhi SpA celebrated its centenary in 2002--and its transformation from a small parts supplier to one of the world's leading appliance brands.
International sales account for nearly 75 percent of the group's total revenues, which topped EUR 1.25 billion ($1.5 billion) in 2003.
2003: Café Duo coffee maker is introduced.
In 2004 a historic agreement was signed with Nespresso for the distribution of capsule coffee machines.
A beginning that anticipates a an exceptional expansion and a strong progression: in 2007, just four years after the launch of Magnifica (the first super-automatic machine), De ’Longhi established himself as the market leader in that segment.
In 2012 Braun, and specifically its household products, join the Group.
Despite the price, they are still a popular brand who makes great coffee; De’Longhi was given four stars for overall satisfaction in our 2014 poll.
In 2015, De'Longhi sold his majority stake in Italian industrial heating company DelClima to Mitsubishi Electric for $551 million.
