The College of Engineering at New Mexico State University has broadened the scope and responsibilities of the office of the Associate Dean of Academics. * Supervises staff in the office of academics to ensure operational efficiencies in student services, scholarship fund management, learning communities management, and recruitment coordination with the Office of Outreach and Recruitment;
* Develops new International Collaborations to establish student pipeline for both undergraduate and graduate programs;
* Assists Dean in keeping track of key indicators in the college strategic plan and in developing new initiatives;
* Works with E-Council as faculty advisor and provides guidance and leadership in the allocation of E-fee; and
* Manages the student development initiatives with the help of staff/faculty directors in the areas of student affairs, student organizations, learning communities, Aggie Innovation Space, and college capstone design experiences.

About this job:

The Dean of Operations is part of the leadership team. This position supervises all managers and coordinators of school operations and building maintenance, including cafeteria staff, nutrition services, nurses, custodians, secretaries, etc., if applicable. The Dean of Operations is responsible for overseeing many daily activities, directing and coordinating actions across the school.
