We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented applicant to deburr or polish surfaces of parts using a variety of small hand power tools and materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Processes major rotating aerospace parts per customer specifications

Creates edge breaks and removes burrs per work instructions or blueprint

Polishes machined edges and surfaces per work instructions or blueprint

Manual break of edges and shoe shine of broach slots

Process holes per customer specifications and work instructions

Uses various tools and methods to check dimensions of completed deburr work

Processing blisk surface finish/transition lines of blades using hand held power tools

Rework of aerospace parts to conform to customer blueprint per work instructions

Washing parts

Participate in training as required

Executes duties as assigned by supervisor

Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor

Exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or

Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or

Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Participate in training as required

5-10% Domestic Travel required


Physical Demands :

Work usually performed in a combination of office and plant setting.

High noise levels from operating machines

Hiring for skilled deburrers around Fridley area! $19 - $28 depending on experience.

Monday - Thursday 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am

Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:15pm

Orizon deburrer job description

Summary: The primary role of a deburr operator is to inspect finished products to ensure parts comply with required specifications which may include performing a variety of operations utilizing various deburr tools to ensure surface finish and edge break conditions meet part specifications.
Responsibilities - Level 1:

* Read and interpret written work order instructions, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine appropriate tool requirements to perform operation.

* Utilize hand tools and small power tools to blend surfaces irregularities, break edge and smooth rough surfaces to specifications.

* Coordinate with quality inspection to ensure part is in conformance with customer requirements.

* Accurately report timekeeping, part quantities, and complete all associated documents

* Ensure required documentation and traceability is accurate, complete, and legible

* Coordinate with previous and following shifts to provide and receive tie-in of current production status.

* Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action process to resolve quality/safety issues.

* Become familiar with Orizon Aerospace's Quality Management system, how it relates to job, and how the Deburr personnel and activities should work with the Quality Department to ensure that we "Always Deliver a Quality Product On Time"

* Maintain Deburr equipment, supplies, and work area to ensure that that tools and work area are properly stocked and in good working order per Orizon's Ultra C-Lean policy

* Maintains safe and clean work environment; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

* Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly

* Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts.

* Must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and follow work instructions and procedure manuals.

* Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
