DESCRIPTION
Med-Psychiatric Registered Nurse to support the mission at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, MD)
Qualifications:
* Minimum Educational Requirements: Accredited school of Nursing (Diploma, AD or BSN)
* Certification/Licenses Requirements: RN with a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
* Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is desired
* Minimum Experience: Have a minimum of three years full time experience within the last five years caring for adult patients as a RN in a behavioral health care setting. Maintain qualifications and skills of a Psychiatric Registered Nurse as confirmed by completion of the Skills Checklist and verified by the clinical manager.
Job Description:
* Performs comprehensive behavioral health nursing assessment and history to plan, provide, and direct nursing care across the continuum of care.
* Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient problems and generate nursing diagnoses.
* Designs a plan of care and writes/implements nursing orders to achieve established goals
* Identifies pending crisis situations and initiates emergency measures, as appropriate. Knowledge of emergent psychiatric disorders and crisis intervention
* Gathers bio-psychosocial information about the patient and their family, pertinent to their general health status and the development of drug abuse/alcohol dependence.
* Identifies and monitors patients for the signs and symptoms associated with withdrawal and relapse.

Decypher is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room to support the contract at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Qualifications:
* Education:
* Associates' Degree in Nursing
* Health care providers registered or certified by national/medical associations must continue to meet the minimum standards for continuing nursing education to remain current as prescribed according to state requirements.
* Certifications (Must be obtained through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross):

* Possession of basic knowledge of operating a wide variety of medical equipment/non-medical equipment in the operating room to ensure patient and staff safety, proper equipment maintenance and accessibility.
* Skilled at patient assessments, verifying correct legal paperwork is completed, and anticipating surgical needs for the patient.
* Possession of great verbal and written communication skills.
* Ensure proper documentation of procedures in the Electronic Health Care Record.
* Ensure a safe working environment, employee safe work habits, and patient safety IAW regulatory agencies, infection control policies, and process improvement initiatives.
* Must be able to function independently with minimal oversight in a variety of surgical services, while under appropriate supervision.
* Participate in the orientation and training of newly assigned personnel, as appropriate.
* Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility.
* Provide care within ethical and legal boundaries.
* Ensure all physician's orders are executed as written.
* Communicate accurate and pertinent patient information to the responsible physician (in a timely manner).
* Implement nursing interventions to prevent complications, decreasing the need for hospitalization.
* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (as required).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer IV therapy, IM injections - MUST have at least two years minimum of professional IV experience
Assess patient appropriateness for infusion therapy
Obtain and document patients medical history at the start of care and ongoing, particularly as related to the diagnosis being treated with the prescribed infusion therapy
Communicate observations of patient response to therapy and overall physical assessment/condition with members of the care team in a timely manner, which may include the nursing supervisor, dispensing pharmacist, registered dietitian, and licensed prescriber, among others
Provide support to Wellness Associates with front desk operations and cleaning responsibilities during times when IV administration is not required.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of infusion therapies, utilizing Company policies, procedures and protocols in addition to all available training resources to ensure understanding of each therapy before initiating treatment
Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as all home infusion standards of practice
Complete all training required upon hire and annually per policy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Serve as a professional representative of the Company when meeting with and/or providing education to external customers, payers and referral sources
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California
Some experience working as an RN in a clinical care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, emergency department, intensive care unit, post-anesthesia care unit, or similar setting)
Proficient with electronic medical record documentation
CPR/BLS certification required
At least one year minimum of professional IV experience required

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Association or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Current license as a registered nurse (RN) and/or accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), current Driver's License.
Two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting preferred, hospice preferred.
Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills preferred in palliation of end-of-life. Proof of current CPR. Must read, write and comprehend English.
Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
