As a key member of Oceana's leadership team, the General Counsel reports directly to the SVP and advises the Board of Directors through this structure. The General Counsel will oversee legal staff and manage outside counsel while working closely with senior leaders across Oceana's nine country offices plus the European Union. We are looking for a seasoned legal advisor who brings:
At least 10 years of progressive legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior advisory or leadership role

Experience working across jurisdictions or with international affiliates (preferred)
Prior in-house counsel experience in a mission-driven or NGO environment (highly preferred)

Principle Duties (major areas of responsibility):

POSITION SUMMARY
The Special Assistant is responsible for direct, proactive executive support to the Chief Conservation Officer, which includes managing their demanding schedule, and undertaking special projects that require sound judgment, initiative, and confidentiality. The position will also provide light administrative support to three other conservation leaders.
Diplomacy and discretion are essential to this position and the Special Assistant is often exposed to highly sensitive issues. This position knows how to balance an informal internal work environment with the formality required when representing Ocean Conservancy and the Chief Conservation Officer externally. The Chief Conservation Officer oversees the conservation work of Ocean Conservancy as well as works in lockstep with the CEO on organization-wide initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Special Assistant is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations and workflow of the Chief Conservation Officer, including:
Serves as key liaison to the Conservation VPs and provides support to other organizational leaders as needed (a “bridge builder”).
Provides judicious management of the Chief of Conservation's time in the office and offsite, including oversight of meetings, travel arrangements, and associated logistical details; ensures their calendar is kept current and accurate.
Monitors deadlines and proactively provides appropriate reminders to the Chief of Conservation.
Coordinates with Ocean Conservancy staff to ensure preparation, production, and distribution of background and briefing materials, binders, and itineraries related to meetings, presentations, conferences, and travel.
Organizes team meetings, circulates meeting notes and follows-up with program staff to shepherd timely completion of action items identified at meetings or otherwise specified by the Chief of Conservation.
Completes and submits expense reports and reimbursement requests. Processes consultant invoices and other program operations support as needed.
Coordinates and attends key meetings as needed, including virtual or in-person meetings (includes booking venues, accommodations and catering, as well as preparing agenda materials/pre-reads as needed).
This position may also be required to support a variety of project management and research needs.
The Special Assistant is also responsible for the following administrative support to three additional Conservation leaders:
Completes and submits expense reports, consultant invoice payment requests and reimbursement requests.
Supports contract and grant development and tracking support.
Coordinates regular team meetings including scheduling, agenda organization, note taking and distribution of notes.
Coordinates weekly updates via email across the team.
Schedules internal and external meetings (does not include proactive calendar management for these conservation leaders).
Supports travel arrangements at the request of the conservation leader.

Ocean Conservancy is committed to equity in its pay practices and posts expected salary ranges for each of its positions. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's specialty skills, years of experience, location, and unique background. The expected salary range is $56,970 to $83,705. Responsibilities
* Creates, implements, and supports outreach and advocacy strategies to influence U.S. government stakeholders and their actions around one or more WWF priorities. Priorities will include food system strengthening and reducing food loss and waste, domestic and international freshwater access and ecosystem connectivity, and conservation priorities in the Great Plains.
* Develops and supports lobbying strategies, devising compelling communications to influence U.S. government audiences, creating opportunities to highlight WWF projects and experts, representing WWF on advocacy coalitions with external partners (including leading these at times), and representing WWF and the Policy and Government Affairs team with the full range of external and internal contacts, including via public speaking opportunities on occasion.

As an integral part of Ocean Conservancy's Resource Development department, the Development Operations Coordinator supports the Development Operations team and other Development sub teams as assigned. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Dynamics
Monitor team mail and email inboxes and respond to correspondence daily, including requests for information and donor feedback; ensure a timely response. Provide backup support for Development colleagues as needed.
Support donor inquiries and tracking for third-party gifts (e.g., gifts of securities, IRA distributions, gifts from Donor-Advised Funds).
Work with Development Operations colleagues to streamline and enhance team operations and processes as related to data management, gift tracking and organization.
Provide additional operational support to the Resource Development team; includes completing a weekly cash log of in-house contributions, calling wealth advisors/banks to determine additional information on funders when unavailable, scheduling meetings and ordering catering as needed.
Follow and uphold the department's policies and procedures for best practices in development.
Organizational Integration
Coordinate with Ocean Conservancy's Facilities/Office Services team on Development team supply requests and mail processes.

COMPENSATION

The Coordinator, Earth for Life is part of a team that collaborates across WWF-US to catalyze "whole of house" efforts to maximize conservation, climate and livelihood impact for nature and nature's benefits to people through protected and conserved areas. The team brings expertise in inclusive conservation, strategic planning, area-based conservation finance and blended finance (in coordination with the finance community of practice and interdepartmental efforts such as the Nature-based Solutions platform), structuring transactions, and closing PFPs in support of WWF US Goal Teams and their corresponding Integrated Programs with Area-Based Conservation programs: Wildlife, Oceans, Forests, Climate, and Freshwater and Food.

The base salary for this position is anticipated to be in the range of $400,000 to $500,000. NGA s Center for Best Practices is the policy and research arm that helps Governors develop and implement solutions to public policy challenges. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR LEGISLATIVE ASSOCIATE
The Senior Legislative Associate will provide high-level operational and strategic support to the Director of Government Relations, offering expertise and leadership in internal operations, cross-functional collaboration, and back-end support for key projects. The Senior Legislative Associate will focus primarily on enhancing division efficiency, fostering strong relationships across the organization, and advising on the development of federal priority strategies and legislative agendas. QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have a bachelor s degree, preferably in political science, public policy or related field. A minimum of seven (7) years in government relations or a related field, with proven expertise in managing complex projects and fostering collaboration across teams. Experience on Capitol Hill strongly preferred or familiarity and experience with federal legislative process. Experience working with Governors, working in federal or state agencies or non-profit organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

* Work directly with Members of Congress, candidates, chiefs of staff, campaign managers, finance directors and consulting teams to develop and implement successful finance operations that achieve campaign budget goals;
* Strategize with campaigns on cultivating relationships with PACs, Members of Congress, national donors and other special interest groups;

The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Position Summary: The DCCC Internship Program offers an invaluable opportunity to engage with national-level campaign style politics. Interns will gain insight into the operations of a national political committee and contribute to House Democratic campaigns.
The Spring Internship Program is a 13-week internship beginning Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and ends on Friday, April 10, 2026. Applicants can choose between full-time or part-time internships, and school credit is available upon request.
Accepted applicants are expected to be available for the entire program duration, with exceptions made only for emergencies, due to the program's short duration.
Responsibilities:
Perform department specific tasks which may include staffing events, conducting research, making Capitol Hill runs, and assisting with short and long term projects.
Assist the Operations team by providing excellent customer service and maintaining shared spaces.
Support other departments as needed at the direction of the department supervisor or Operations team.
Requirements
Committed to helping Democrats win the House majority.
At least 18 years old on or before the first day of the internship.
Ability to relocate to the DC-metro area prior to the first day.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
Capacity to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence, the awareness knowledge and skills needed to work effectively with others who are culturally different.
Details:
Full-Time interns receive a weekly stipend of $700.00. Part-Time interns must work a minimum of 20 hours and receive a weekly stipend of $350.00.
