Purpose of the role Union Savings Bank is seeking a reliable and motivated Deposit Operations Associate to support essential functions within the Accounting & Finance team. The Deposit Operations Associate plays a vital role in wire processing, deposit account support, internal service, and cross-functional coordination. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wires Manage daily wire initiations, including branch, escrow, construction, liquidity, and internal transfers Review outgoing wires for completeness and accuracy before submission Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing and documentation Maintain records and reconcile daily wire activity within the general ledger Operational Support Process customer address changes and manage return mail workflows Maintain accurate deposit records and follow up directly with customers when needed Assist with journal entry reviews and support the monthly and year-end close process Customer Service Assist the deposit operations phone team by fielding inquiries related to online banking or account maintenance Respond promptly and professionally to both internal and external requests Help ensure every customer interaction is handled with accuracy, clarity, and respect Team Engagement Contribute to a culture of shared accountability and mutual support within the team Remain open to coaching, process updates, and continuous improvement Take initiative in managing time, completing tasks, and solving problems Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery Values Foster and model the values of the Bank in all activities, with a high value placed on building relationships, engagement and collaboration, with internal stakeholders as well as those in the communities served. Serves as a subject matter expert providing compliance advice and guidance to all Bank staff as necessary, addressing compliance questions and concerns. Reviews and revises the Bank's forms and disclosures for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Works with legal counsel and bank personnel in developing contracts, forms, and/or disclosures that meet the needs of the Bank and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Provides input regarding compliance concerns relevant to the products and services offered by the Bank and for new development and changes to products and services to be offered, including promotional advertising or solicitations. Ensures that reports to federal and state regulatory agencies are complete, accurate, and filed on a timely basis. Oversees the tracking, investigation, and response to customer complaints. Organizes and facilitates Compliance Council meetings, and participates in other risk-related functions, committees, and meetings. Coordinates with federal and/or state regulatory agency examiners during Compliance and CRA examinations. Works with lenders and customers to determine income and expense projections of new and existing projects. Recommends and reviews loan structure, loan covenants through analysis and review of collateral values, title work, appraisals, mortgage documents and loan documentation. Analyzes current information and helps prepare the reports for the Adversely Classified Rating (ARC) meeting. Assists with appraisal reviews. Additional Responsibilities: Organizes the materials and reports for Loan Committee and ARC meetings. Attends meetings and maintains the minutes. Keeps abreast of changes in products, policies, and procedures. Attends training as needed on a periodic basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists customers (internal and external) with resolution to questions, problems, and issues. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (preferably with a specialization in Finance or Accounting) or equivalent work experience as a credit analyst or related position in financial institution. Prefer 1-2 years' financial institution experience. Must have the capacity to work under deadlines and be able to handle confrontational situations.
