PATIENT POPULATION: The patient population served can be all patients including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public. POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Graduate Medical Education (GME), in collaboration with the DIO, and GMEC, provides oversight of the training programs, including oversight of the GME Staff, Residents and inclusive budget management, staffing levels and performance evaluations. Conducts regular audits of New Innovations to ensure trainee files contain accurate and complete information needed for the cost report. This is inclusive of: rotation schedules, Medical School diplomas, ECFMG certificates, dates of enrollment, trainee demographics, duty hours and location for trainee hours. Works directly with Program Coordinator to pull requested information, update files and adjust records to ensure compliance with CMS requirements. Will function as point person with ACGME surveys and reports. Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: None Required Responsibilities and Essential Functions: *Indicates Essential Function 1 * Maintains all affiliation agreements and program letters of agreement for all training programs. 2 * Monitors and ensures the quality and completion of tasks by the staff and provides coverage in absence of coordinator. 3 In collaboration with the DIO, develops, implements and monitors the strategic planning and long-term goals for the program. 4 * Assists the DIO in the management of all Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program reviews including development, organization and support of all training programs in the context of the ACGME's Next Accreditation System including resident contracts and benefits. 5 * Provides oversight of NRMP and ERAS. 6 * Preparation of the ACGME accreditation materials and a resource for training programs preparing for site visits (including mock site visits). 7 * Assumes responsibility for the institutional management and oversight of the GME staff. 8 * Strategically plans for new residency and fellowship programs while maintaining accreditation of ongoing programs. 9 * Instrumental in the preparation of all accreditation documentation and related ACGME correspondences and maintains accreditation files on all training programs. 10 * Works closely with the DIO in all areas related to accreditation documentation for all training programs. Monitors New Innovations for duty hour's compliance and makes recommendations to DIO for any areas of concern. 11 * Responsible for preparing Faculty Service Agreements under the guidance of the DIO, Contracting, Compliance, Legal and Finance Departments. 12 Participates in the preparation and management of the GME Budget. 13 * Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding for programs and projects, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and organizational objectives.
