Job Description
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Technical Instructor II in Orlando, FL.
Responsible for primarily providing technical training to internal and external customers on Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC (METUS) products and systems offered and related software packages. Responsibilities include in-house and on-site customer instruction. The Technical Instructor will have personal interaction with various levels of customers ranging from dealer/distributor owner/president to engineer to contractor/service mechanic on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide technical training for internal and external customers both on-site and in METUS training centers.
Setup, configure and maintain training equipment and information libraries.
Conduct on-site assessments of customers' installation and maintenance functions to determine needs for follow-up training.
Participate in the design, development, and/?or updating of training programs and supporting materials such as training guides, practical exercises, assessments, and other handouts consistent with product updates and releases.
Assist with the training and qualification process for internal and external Authorized Trainers.
Assist with design, layout, equipment selection and periodic inspection of METUS Authorized Training Centers.
Manage the upkeep and maintenance of assigned METUS training centers including installed equipment, test equipment and tools and facilities.
Provide back-up technical support for internal and external customers when required.
Work closely with service department staff to keep up with current issues and solutions.
Willing to travel up to 40% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly Internationally
Other Duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or a minimum of five years technical experience in the HVAC field.
Minimum of two years of experience in formal training delivery. Military technical training experience is a plus.
Proven experience in troubleshooting complex electronic and refrigerant flow systems.
Highly enthusiastic and energetic person capable of building and maintaining customer interest during training.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and through formal presentations.
Comprehensive working knowledge of the tools included in the Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
Ability to work remotely and independently with little direct daily supervision
Ability to translate complex thoughts and ideas and communicate them in an easy to understand form.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,600 and $117,700 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
