ABOUT THIS ROLE The warehouse driver is responsible for driving various East Bay Tire vehicles while delivering goods and products to customers, clients, and accounts. You will make deliveries and pick up inventory as needed. DUTIES INCLUDE Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury free environment Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth Drives commercial truck to deliver tires to customers as well as other East Bay Tire locations Performs initial vehicle inspection at the beginning of each shift Unloads different types and sizes of tires at delivery site Collects money from customers on COD accounts Records delivery information on pick tickets Inform regular customers of new tires available when questioned Listens to and resolves service complaints Collects or picks up rejected tires or unsold merchandise Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery Responsible for routine vehicle presentation/cleanliness Work on special projects and perform other tasks as needed Adherence to company and safety policies and procedures REQUIREMENTS Must have at least 2 years' experience working as a commercial or warehouse driver Experience working in a warehouse as a technician or driver preferred Experience delivering parts or products to customers Experience working in the tire industry preferred but not required Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Must have a strong commitment to achieving goals with a teamwork mentality Must have great communication/interpersonal skills Must be motivated with a good business sense and understanding Must have good decision-making/judgment skills Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
