What You Do:

As a Lead or Assistant Appliance Installer, you will be responsible for professional delivery and installation of a variety of home appliances and electronics. You will communicate with internal sales team members, management, and our customers on a daily basis regarding the scheduled installations, as well as provide those customers with basic instruction on product setup and use.


Your Background:
High School diploma or GED required Valid Texas DL required Leads: At least 2-3 years of appliance delivery/installation including general knowledge of related plumbing and electrical components; working knowledge of basic home audio/video installation including TV, speakers, etc. Assistants: At least 1 year of general product delivery experience Excellent communication skills and customer service attitude Experience using pallet jacks, wheeled dollies, and other logistics equipment Ability to lift objects over 100 lbs (with assistance) Ability to adapt to frequent changes Strong work ethic and adherence to a regular schedule Availability to work any days (8am-6pm), except Sunday

Job Description

Office Equipment Delivery: Our Delivery Drivers are part of a warehouse team that supply The Stewart Organization, and its customers, with top notch operations services. As part of the Team, your primary role will be to provide excellent customer service while Safely & Accurately delivering, moving, and picking up equipment at valued customer locations. At some locations, this will also include installing the Equipment. You will also be expected to communicate any challenges met throughout the day and provide valuable feedback for improvements. A CDL is not required as you will be driving company vans and 14’ box trucks. You may, on rare occasion, be asked to drive a 26’ rental truck as well. While most day to day deliveries will be made in the DFW area, occasional trips to further out locations may be requested. Locations such as Waco, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City etc..

Some of the detailed responsibilities include :

  • Driver Check Out
    • Ensure that you have all equipment needed for your route.
    • Ensure accuracy of the equipment to be loaded.
    • Ensure that all equipment is Safely secured on the truck.
  • Self-Dispatching and Data Collection
    • Dispatch and close calls in real time.
    • Meeting and exceeding customer expectations for delivery and down times
    • Providing complete and accurate information for calls.
    • Obtaining signatures for ALL equipment delivered, picked up or moved.
  • Safety & Alertness
    • Performing ALL daily tasks in a safe manner.
    • Being Alert and Responsive to any customer needs that may arise.
    • Monitoring vehicle safety and maintenance updates
  • Warehouse
    • Assisting the Warehouse team with projects and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fully Vaccinated against the COVID-19 Virus
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Comfortable using and working with electronic devices.
  • Able to comfortably lift 75 lbs.
  • On seldom occasion, projects may require work to be performed outside business hours of M-F 8-5.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in furniture delivery and assembly to assure project completion.

  • Maintain vehicle, dock and spare parts area cleanliness and organization
  • Complete internal deliveries between locations when needed

  • Manage small projects with minimal supervision; working towards mid-sized projects as experience in gained
  • Work with install Leads and contract teams to learn about furniture installation requirements
  • Become familiar with vendor furniture lines
  • Use proactive problem-solving skills to save some time and cost with issues that may arise during installations
  • Be accountable for any installation punch issues and ensure they get taken care of in a timely manner
  • Report all punch items and project concerns to install leads or Project Managers and/or Director of Project Operations as soon as identified.
  • Build rapport with client, demonstrate a positive "can do" attitude
  • Maintain positive relationships with subcontractor companies
  • Be on time and courteous to all projects
  • Perform quality control checks when necessary prior to project installation
  • Ensure vehicles used by self and sub-contractors are kept orderly and ready for next assignment
  • Safety: Verify that all operations, work in progress and all completed work complies with all applicable codes, safety regulations, drawings, specifications and all corporate policies and procedures.
