ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Signs in/out daily when arriving and departing any Springfield Urban League location. Must utilize ADP Payroll Software for the inputting of time entries for payroll. Driver is responsible for the entries and updates to the routes in Child Plus. The driver shall not leave the bus unattended at anytime while transporting children. Pick up children on time and deliver them to designated areas in a safe and efficient manner. Return children to their homes at the end of the day. Responsible for ensuring that each child is safely taken across any street crossing by the bus monitor, as needed. Transport children to the centers or prearranged locations such as field trips. Make certain good order is maintained in the vehicle for safety of the children. Ensure that the bus is never over capacity at any time. This also includes ensuring the staff to student ratio is in compliance. At all times, there is always one monitor on the bus when transporting students. Adm. Code 1040.40. Not have, through the unlawful operation of a motor vehicle, caused an accident resulting in the death of any person.
