This position is responsible for delivering nutritious meals for students throughout the campus in a safe and healthful manner.
Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading. Loading and unloading product in a safe and neat manner to make sure goods are correctly stowed. Communicate with office. Deliver and unload goods at required site. Obtain a receipt for goods delivered. Vehicle check must be done daily. Vehicle report must be completed weekly. Hand in all gas receipts/cards upon getting gas. Must maintain an odometer log daily. Responsible for daily cleaning of vehicle. No other passengers allowed in vehicle unless authorized by manager. Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations. Must follow strict schedules. Responsible for allocating all necessary items and, on some occasions, participating in production. Job description is subject to change. Follow all management directives. Perform all necessary paperwork, including shipping and receiving slips. Report all discrepancies regarding food delivery.

The Delivery Assistant performs general manual labor tasks including unloading, lifting, carrying, loading, and handling garbage. Will also assists in a variety of functions that include manual labor tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive and non-repetitive physical duties that require lifting, pushing/pulling, stretching, bending and sitting.
- Assist driver with locating the proper delivery locations
- Verify products and piece counts during unloading and delivery
- Read and comprehend delivery instructions and memos
- Practice safe and secure material handling methods using delivery hand trucks
- Deliver merchandise in a timely and safe manner to “customer specific locations” within schools and businesses without damage to the product
- Return all signed packing slips to the driver after the delivery is complete
- Help keep trucks and all associated equipment clean, organized and in proper working order; report any problems to management immediately
- Will be required to work in the warehouse on an as needed basis
- Other tasks may and will be assigned as required
Requirements
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing up to 75+ lbs. repetitively
- Must Posses a valid NYS Driver's License

At the beginning of each shift you will
- Clock in at your designated pick up location to receive your entire route of packages at one time. Your route is designed for you at the beginning of your shift.
- You will go out and complete your deliveries.
- Once you complete all of your deliveries, you can clock out where you are! (No need to go back to the Pharmacy/Pick Up location)
Responsibilities
- Follow a mapped delivery route, track and report working hours and breaks at appropriate times, adhere to all safety policies, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with all weather and conditions
- You will be directly responsible for delivering medication via your bike or vehicle to our customers
- You will collaborate with the Logistics Team to ensure delightful and reliable deliveries
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
- Must have a valid ID or driver's license
- Proof of registration and proof of insurance with your name on the policy. (cannot have a business use exclusion)
- Must be willing to submit and pass a background and drug screen
- You possess the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- You must have a Smart Phone with downloadable app capability and be familiar with technology and routing tools
