Work you'll do:
As a Property Tax Senior Consultant within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will be a valuable member on tax engagements and provide state and local property tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. You will continue to grow your technical knowledge in property taxation by working on large, complex tax engagements, have access to exceptional resources, and continue to develop your supervisory/leadership skills.
Responsibilities will include:
+ Researching state and local property tax legislation and assisting with drafting client responses and memos.
+ Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow.
+ Making recommendations on engagement workflow management and mentoring tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.
+ Reviewing and/or preparing client billings and account reconciliations.
+ Assisting with drafting proposals for new and existing clients.
+ Liaising between the Firm's in-house tax return preparation team and the clients' tax department.
+ Performing a detailed technical review of property tax returns on select engagements.
+ Assisting with providing guidance to clients on a range of property tax issues including complex, commercial, real, and personal property tax.
Qualifications

+ Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
+ 3+ years experience working in property tax and/or with property tax assessors.

**FAAS Manager - Assistant Controller - Integrated Finance Managed Services**
**Role:**
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Integrated Finance Managed Services (IFMS) engagements. This position will collaborate closely with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the global delivery service team to proactively resolve operational challenges and ensure effective communication regarding delivery performance and risks. The IFMS Assistant Controller will assist in various finance-related functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
**Key Responsibilities:**

**FAAS Manager - Assistant Controller - Integrated Finance Managed Services**
**Role:**
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Integrated Finance Managed Services (IFMS) engagements. This position will collaborate closely with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the global delivery service team to proactively resolve operational challenges and ensure effective communication regarding delivery performance and risks. The IFMS Assistant Controller will assist in various finance-related functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the GDS service delivery team to address operational challenges and communicate delivery performance and risks effectively.
+ Work alongside the Service Delivery Executive to monitor service delivery health, identify potential issues early, and drive resolutions for performance deviations or client-impacting concerns.
+ Assist the Commercial Management Office by monitoring scope changes and supporting the resolution of commercial and contract-related matters.
+ Support the general accounting function by participating in monthly and quarterly close activities, preparing journal entries, and assisting with flux and variance analysis in coordination with client teams.
+ Coordinate with the EY Technical Accounting Advisory Group to address technical accounting matters raised by managed services clients.
+ Assist in managing the accounting workstream for clients' SEC filings, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of quarterly and ad hoc deliverables.
+ Provide day-to-day support across finance-related services, including treasury operations, stock-based compensation tracking, and coordination with clients' banks, investment managers, and transfer agents.
+ Assist in coordinating payroll services provided through EY's managed services and liaise with client HR to support employee benefits and compliance with tax reporting obligations.
+ Prepare audit schedules and liaise with clients and external auditors during annual and interim audit processes.
+ Contribute to the development of materials for client Audit Committee and Board meetings, supporting the Regional IFMS Controller in finalization and delivery.
+ Support the administration and maintenance of EY's IF systems, including reconciliation and interface monitoring between subledgers and the general ledger.
+ Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including system enhancements, financial process improvements, and ad hoc projects in response to client needs.
**Qualifications:**
+ A bachelor's degree in an accounting, finance or business discipline
+ US CPA licensure in your work state
+ 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and experience in a public company environment.
+ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
+ Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software systems.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
+ The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
+ Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
**Ideally you'll also have**
+ Working experience with SAP, Certent, FloQast, Active Disclosure, Concur, Ariba is a plus
+ Experience with SEC filings and audit processes is a plus
+ Experience in a clinical stage bioscience/pharmaceutical company

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $112,700 to $206,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $135,200 to $234,800. As a senior member of the team, the Accounting Delivery Controllership Lead will play a significant role in the management of all accounting operations including Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, managing financial reporting and analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading and mentoring the Corporate Accounting team. Leader in this role will have the primary responsibility for the entire client business services organization in ensuring adequate internal control processes to meet internal and external requirements. This includes partnering with Finance Business Partners, Finance Centers of Expertise, Legal, Owner and Franchise Services, and other Staff Operations areas to identify potential risks and opportunities and to translate business opportunities into financial plans.
This role involves overhauling existing accounting functions through a strategic approach that leverages technology, automation, and talent development to achieve greater efficiency and strategic value. This goes beyond simple improvements to fundamentally change how the department operates, shifting the focus from routine transactional work to providing higher-level business insights and strategic support to client leadership.

Perform tax consulting as part of our Multistate Tax Services group, including business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax, sales and use tax outsourcing, property tax, state income and franchise tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy. Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Primary responsibilities include overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries as well as researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues such as deferred tax liability issues and tax implications of financing techniques for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Assume tax-planning responsibilities for corporate and individual clients. Perform detailed technical reviews of partnership and corporate state tax returns and work papers with attention to multistate tax issues including apportionment, state modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation.
Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Financial Economics, Finance, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eighteen months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, estimates, and extensions for corporations and partnerships in multistate jurisdictions.
Experience must include 18 months of:
* providing income and franchise tax consulting, tax planning and income tax accounting services for multistate companies;
* preparing and filing K-1s, withholding and composite returns for partnerships and limited liability companies, including private equity funds;
* utilizing tax research tools, including CCH, RIA Checkpoint, BNA, and LexisNexis, to research complex tax issues relating to tax law changes, regulations, or tax cases;
* utilizing tax preparation software, including Corptax, GoSystem, ONESOURCE, and SuperForm, to prepare corporate and partnership state and local tax returns;
* performing state taxation services, including state apportionment, modifications and state and local credits calculation, based on varying state regulations; and
* mediating between client and state revenue departments to resolve state tax notices, audit, or other tax-related issues/inquiries, and responding to Information Document Requests (IDRs).
