As a Ground Maintenance Technician (GMT) in a stationary role, you will be a part of Deltas Ground Support Equipment team. A GMT (Stationary) specializes in completing repairs and utilizes preventive maintenance on motors and controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and machine shop equipment. The ideal candidate is proficient in the use of diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to resolve malfunctions and maintain equipment.
Summary of responsibilities:
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and repair with precision measuring and testing instruments.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ensures the proper functioning of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial equipment and test equipment throughout Stationary GSE in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to log inventory levels; anticipating need; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
External Applicants Only Ground Maintenance Technician (Stationary) hired to work at the LGA airport receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You will receive $2,500 after 90 days of employment and the remaining $2,500 after 180 days of employment.
The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $36.22 with the ability to increase your hourly rate within 6 months of your start date, based upon premiums offered. Examples include but are not limited to CIMM Certification, Shift differential, and Skill differential.
Eligible Delta employees based in New York City (JFK or LGA) can be reimbursed up to $250 per month for specific transportation expenses incurred while traveling to and from work. Employees using public transit, including trains, buses, subways, ferries or van pools to get to and from JFK or LGA may be eligible.
Qualified candidates must also possess at least one of the following:
Electrical/Relay knowledge:Understanding and proficiency in repairing 12 to 50 VAC/DC control circuits, 120 VAC single-phase electrical circuits and control circuits, 480 VAC 3-phase electrical systems.

Industrial Maintenance/Conveyor Systems/Passenger Loading Bridges (PLB):Knowledge of system operations for PLB, system operation for conveyor systems and heavy equipment maintenance on hydraulics/electrical/mechanical on large industrial machinery.
Industrial A/C refrigeration:Knowledge of high-pressure point-of-use pre-condition air systems, low-pressure glycol chiller systems, and repair and isolate system failures, as well as the related software for both high- and low-pressure control circuits systems.
400 Hz Generator/Inverter Ground Power:Strong understanding of electronic and electrical components and proficiency at identifying problems and repairing and rebuilding them. A background in 400 Hz, testing equipment as needed to perform repair/overhaul, and the ability to read electrical schematics and drawings are required. Familiarity with Jetpower II, Jetpower Plus, and CSI units. Experience operating passive and resistive load banks and working in an electronics environment.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

* Three (3) years of inspection experience on commercial aircraft
* Three (3) years of commercial aircraft maintenance or quality management experience
* Able to understand aircraft structural repair manual (SRM) for damage mapping
* Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards
* Able to travel to out stations or non- maintenance cities when called to do so

* 21 years of age or older at time of application
* High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred
* At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry (such as retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service.)

What you can expect during onboarding and training
* Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
* Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
* Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited due to the safety-sensitive nature of the Flight Attendant position.
* Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history. Your background must not prohibit travel to or from anywhere United flies. For example, Canada has a strict inadmissible classification for DWI/DUI charges including misdemeanors. If you have been on probation or convicted of a DWI/DUI within the last 10 years, the Canadian government will not allow you to travel to and from Canada unless you have already received a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) from the Canadian government which will allow you to continue your work duties for a temporary period of time.

Air handler hoses, adapters, air filters, condensate pans, and indicator bulbs and lenses.

Ground power cables and associated clamping/saddles.

**Job overview and responsibilities:**
The Dispatcher is responsible for joint operational control with the Pilot in Command to ensure the safe, legal, and efficient operation of United Airlines flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Manuals. The successful candidate possesses strong organizational skills and is detail oriented. Additionally, strong written and verbal communication skills accompanied by a high work ethic are a must.
· Prepares the flight release
· Monitors flight progress
· Analyzes and disseminates meteorological information, reviews maintenance limitations and calculates the amount of fuel required for safe flight
· Updates the pilot in command of significant changes to the flight plan and provides assistance during irregular and emergency situations
· Maintains qualification and competency in accordance with FAA and UAL requirements
· Interacts with other United Airlines' departments including Maintenance Control, Operations Planning and Meteorology
**Qualifications**
**What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):**
+ High school diploma, GED or education equivalent
+ FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
+ 1 year of Airline Operations experience
+ Must be able to work any shift/any day including holidays
+ Must pass DOT background and DOT drug screen
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry! You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. Here you will learn United's safety and service standards. During training, you will be assigned your base in one of our seven hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Franciso, Washington Dulles, or one of our other flight attendant base locations (relocation funds not provided). Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements include:
* 21 years of age or older at time of application
* High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred
* At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry (such as retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service.)
* Must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner, loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
* Must be able to read and speak German fluently.
* Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
* Effectively communicate in the event of high-stress situations such as aircraft evacuation, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather conditions, and turbulence.
* Professional appearance, excellent grooming standards, and willingness to follow uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines
* Tattoos are NOT permitted on the head, hands, or neck, including behind the ear. You are permitted to have visible tattoos on your arms, wrists, legs, and feet. What you can expect during onboarding and training
* Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
* Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
* Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited due to the safety-sensitive nature of the Flight Attendant position.
* Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history. Your background must not prohibit travel to or from anywhere United flies. For example, Canada has a strict inadmissible classification for DWI/DUI charges including misdemeanors. If you have been on probation or convicted of a DWI/DUI within the last 10 years, the Canadian government will not allow you to travel to and from Canada unless you have already received a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) from the Canadian government which will allow you to continue your work duties for a temporary period of time.
* Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, meet hearing and vision requirements as established by the Federal Aviation Administration and United Airlines, including not having hearing loss on audiometry in better ear greater than 40 dB when losses at 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz are averaged; and, each eye must be 20/40 or better corrected for both far and near vision.
