An employee classified as a General Laborer will perform work throughout the college maintained facilities including off campus centers providing cleaning and building sanitation. The employee will operate the necessary equipment and properly use the college approved cleaning products to maintain the facilities which will include but not be limited to classrooms, locker rooms, toilet rooms, elevators, office spaces, laboratory spaces, lobbies, corridors, cafeteria areas, and utility spaces. The General Laborer will do the cleaning of all building materials including but not limited to walls, ceilings, floors, windows, vents, doorways, and furniture. To maintain the facilities the General Laborer will perform activities such as dusting, washing, mopping, buffing, sweeping, vacuuming, and removing trash from the facilities. The General Laborer will maintain custodial equipment, stock the necessary products, assist in setting up events and equipment, report broken articles, and provide for a safe working environment while performing the above duties. The General Laborer may be assigned to other supervisory personnel by his/her supervisor as required. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma, or GED equivalent. * Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. * Ability to multi-task. * Must be able to pass a physical examination. * Must be able to pass a drug screening test. * Able to work flexible hours.
