Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. This role encompasses assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The position requires strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics in high-acuity settings.
Essential Work Functions:
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition
Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques
Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs
Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying the appropriate provider of changes in patient status
Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters
Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards
Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training
Adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reduce risks
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
The kennel tech is responsible for the care, feeding, medicating, and cleaning of our patients in the hospital and boarding facility. This job involves cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs, and medicating patients. You are responsible for restocking hospital supplies, helping with post-operative patients, assisting doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams. You will be responsible for proper recordkeeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior and any issue that may arise while the animal is in our care. You may be trained to clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
Proper methods of animal restraint.
Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
Perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs, bags of litter, pet foods, etc).
Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared and injured animals.
Ability to learn to administer medications and to recognize abnormal conditions.

Job Summary

Maintain extensive notes regarding pending progress.

Prior educational or professional exposure to witness interviews or video monitoring
Prior educational or professional incident reporting and/or investigations experience
Flexibility to work varied and irregular hours/days including weekends and holidays
Ability to type reports in Microsoft Word format with minimal grammatical and punctuation errors
Proficient in utilizing laptop computers, video cameras and cell phones

CED's Management Training program is tailored to sales-minded candidates seeking management positions in an evolving industry. CED is a privately held company with more than 750 locations. Management Trainees are taught every aspect of CED's business in order to run their own multi-million-dollar location upon completion of the training.
On-the-job training lasts for 2-3 years and includes rotations in warehouse, counter sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, purchasing, account management, project management, inventory management and business development. Throughout the program, trainees attend multiple sessions focused on electrical products, sales, and management.
While the position provides real on-the-job training, there is also online training related to electrical systems, sales, and management. No prior industry experience is necessary: we give you the tools needed to be successful with CED. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, is geographically flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-faceted industry.
Reports to: Training Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Bachelor's Degree - will consider related experience in lieu of degree
+ Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
+ Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
+ Ability and willingness to relocate during and upon completion of the program
