Area Director
Part Time job in Casselberry, FL
Job Description
MAN IN THE MIRROR
DESCRIPTION
Discipleship changes everything.
Our Area Directors help local churches become more effective in reaching and discipling men using proven strategies that increase the number of men attending church AND the number of men actively engaged in discipleship. Area Directors are part of a national movement to help churches create an environment where the Holy Spirit inspires men to engage in life-on-life discipleship.
Position Description
Area Directors are full-time, self-funded leaders who are called to men's discipleship and passionate about using their training and knowledge to help churches do so much more with their men than the usual Saturday morning pancake breakfast. Part-time positions also available.
Area Directors are expected to maintain a spiritual life that reflects a consistent, daily dependence on Jesus Christ. Each one is a member in good-standing with his local church. If married, he maintains a solid and consistent relationship with his spouse. He is engaged with men on a regular basis to help them grow. In turn, they can help the Area Director maintain his own faith relationship with Christ.
They serve church leaders in a consultative manner, offering strategies, methods, and tactics that have a significant, lasting impact.
They provide their expertise to the church at no charge because they are surrounded by people that resonate with the vision and mission and want to be a part of their ministry. They provide financially (and prayerfully) what is needed for the Area Director to do his work. Area Directors are good stewards of their ministry funds.
Benchmark surveys are administered periodically so that progress can be measured over time on a quantitative basis - meaningful data for a pastor and his leadership team.
Area Directors are focused. They set annual goals and provide monthly reports on key metrics critical to the success of the mission.
A Regional Director is assigned to every Area Director for coaching, guidance, prayer support and more.
An Advisory Council and other similar initiatives are created to help the Area Director succeed with his funding initiatives, provide strategic insights, support his work with local churches, and general accountability.
Successful Area Directors continue to build meaningful relationships with churches, and provide ongoing information, assistance and support. They serve as an engaging role model and reliable, capable resource. They are active in discipling men and leaders in the community. They build and maintain transparent, consistent, collaborative and effective working relationships with the Man in the Mirror staff, their Regional Director and the other men in the field.
Comprehensive training is provided for carrying out the work of an Area Director as well as how to raise funding for your ministry budget. On-going training is provided via in-person, webinars and video conferencing. Training is also provided at "Reunion", our annual conference for all Area Directors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
A passion for ministry to men and experience with church-based men’s ministry is required.
