The Demand and Supply Planning Process Manager will act as a planning subject matter expert, working with business, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and finance to develop and deploy work processes that enable system utilization and facilitate improvement. This role will work closely with business representatives to understand business plans and improvement roadmaps covering supply and demand requirements, plant capacities, production process/technical limits, and asset/product linkages. This understanding will be used to prioritize work to address business and functional team needs and objectives.

The scope of this role covers short, mid and on range planning horizons. Although responsibilities will cover all time horizons, the main area of focus being on short term, or what's considered in the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) time horizon. The manager will establish standards of performance for Master Production Scheduling and Production Planning and Resupply (DRP) Planning functions globally, these are considered S&OE planning processes. The role will be responsible for developing programs to assess current performance against the standards and design programs to continually improve performance. The S&OE planning processes will be coordinated with S&OP processes so that the two process are working in concert. The Demand and Supply Planning Process Manager will work closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Planning teams to ensure processes are in place to support future demand as well as maximize plant efficiencies, achieve inventory targets and meet required delivery dates. The environment includes a mix of Make to Stock, Make to Order and Assemble to Order strategies and is global in nature with plants in multiple countries and covering all GBUs.

This role will include the following attributes and areas of focus:
Develop expertise in SAP IBP's tool and SAP PPDS tool for optimizing inventory targets and supply planning and scheduling.Maintain standards for S&OE planning processes within the company's SAP system.In coordination with Supply Chain COE and MDG global process managers, establish methodologies to maintain planning master data in SAP S/4 and IBP to support the overall S&OE and S&OP planning processes.Drive scheduling processes to ensure integration with connected S&OE processes and functions, such as available-to-promise (ATP) are working properly, in support of the Order to Cash work stream. Contribute to the development of S&OE process as a methodology to ensure effective communication is occurring to all stakeholders as to how we are doing against plans and the implications of execution issues.Build metrics for the S&OE planning processes.Lead SC COE Planning team support of the S&OE process and support on-going work processes for both S&OE and S&OP. Develop or refine work processes and communication flows to address gaps and opportunities for improvement and best practice sharing. Improvement topics will include use of system data to present information and drive decisions.Partner with GBU Planner leaders and other SC COE Planning team members to support efforts to increase system utilization and increase capability and performance of those using the systems.Lead an effort to assess and measure effectiveness of interfaces (data or information exchanges) between functions where they occur as normal steps of on-going demand and supply processes. Use measurements to identify and deploy improvements. Actively report and assist the management of Working Capital targets for the global business areas including calculating and managing inventory targets, safety stocks for all materials at SKU/location level, and updated monthly inventory forecasts.

Requirements
