Instructional Leadership

Job Description
Position Overview
Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Recruitment & Enrollment (SRE), the Manager is a critical role on the SRE Team responsible for the creation and maintenance of Student Recruitment systems. The Manager, SRE will drive the logistics that power our student recruitment work which also includes managing a team of part-time Community Outreach Specialists (COS) and leading high impact student recruitment events at schools and external locations. The Student Recruitment Team is part of the KIPP NYC Regional Operations Team.
This role is based in NYC and will require travel to the KIPP NYC schools located in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. KIPP NYC employees are required to be in-person a minimum of 3 days a week.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Regional Event Planning & Communication
Serve as regional point of contact for KIPP NYC student recruitment events, overseeing all operational aspects, coordinating with school-based and regional staff for brand materials distribution and staffing
Manage family-facing event communication, including invitations, confirmations, and post-event follow-up
Manage and track brand materials inventory - swag, apparel, promotional items, and reusable event materials at schools and the regional office
In partnership with school-based teams, maintain SRE inventory for on-site for walk-ins and student recruitment events
Partner with the Finance Team to review SRE budgets and ensure proper procurement processes
Track all team and school based recruitment expenses and submit invoices and receipts to Finance
Manage Community Outreach Specialist (COS) Team
Serve as hiring manager fo the part-time COS Team, including application review and interview logistics with members of the SRE team
Design and lead COS onboarding and training for SRE best practices
Manage a part-time COS staff to ensure professionalism, accountability, and high-quality family interactions
Create and regularly communicate the team calendar to prioritize and track fieldwork schedules, event coverage, and staffing across sites
Provide coaching and feedback to reinforce standards of outreach, punctuality, and professionalism
Manage post-event debrief data collection to create weekly and monthly reports on event outcomes and team performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in operations, event management, or community engagement, experience coordinating large-scale events or campaigns, preferred
Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in operations, recruitment, school enrollment, nonprofit program management; prior experience managing hourly or part-time staff a plus
Strong experience using CRMs, databases, or trackers (Salesforce, SchoolMint, HubSpot, Excel/Sheets).
Demonstrated ability with managing receipts, invoices, and expense reporting in collaboration with Finance teams.
Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English) is highly desirable in family-facing outreach.
Willingness to work some evenings/weekends to support family events.
Proven experience providing excellent customer service with diverse communities and families in a recruitment/outreach context.

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $89,000 to $99,000 per year. Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range, however they are ultimately determined by scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. The Middle School After-School Activity Specialist and Group Leader roles are a part-time positions working directly with middle school students in our after school program. The Activity Specialist will teach a weekly class in a specific content area (ie. Dance, Step, Sports, Art, or Chess) in our after school program designed to improve youth development, social-emotional learning, and academics. Position Overview
The Family Ambassador plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships between families, the organization, and the community. Successful Family Ambassadors will drive forward the implementation of a targeted student recruitment plan to achieve our schools' enrollment goals, including activities like community outreach, new family engagement, and direct new student recruitment. Family Ambassadors will also receive training to deepen partnerships with existing families and community leaders, expand KIPP's community of families, and create sustaining connections with new families in our school's community.
Through a part-time commitment of 12-20 hours each week, Family Ambassadors will work within the Enrollment Team and on behalf of school teams to implement recruitment and outreach activities, manage leads, connect with the broader school community, help raise awareness and visibility of the organization, and supporting new families through the enrollment process. Qualifications
Experience:
