DeMolay International company history timeline
Louis G. Lower - The first DeMolay and the first DeMolay Legionnaire (Legion of Honor). Crowned a Chevalier in 1920.
The organization grew rapidly, and by the end of 1921, Land realized he had to devote full time to it.
In March of 1922, DeMolay had been established in 39 of what were then the 48 United States, as well as in the District of Columbia.
The first induction ceremony took place in Pittsburgh on February 12, 1923.
In 2019, DeMolay International has celebrated 100 years of leadership and service to young men across the world.
