Maintain a 95% show rate for all assigned staffing projects.

Lead Software Engineer - Consumer Experience Team

(Hybrid, Atlanta Area - 2 Days/Week in Office) CINC is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to help build a custom content experience in the next generation of our consumer-facing real estate websites. This is a greenfield initiative on our Consumer Experience Team, and we're looking for a hands-on technical leader who can guide architecture discussions, mentor a small group of developers, and drive modern web development using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
This is a player/coach role: you'll actively contribute code while also supporting the growth of three engineers (including yourself), conducting light one-on-ones, and providing feedback into our review process. This position does not include formal personnel management or salary decisions.
What You Will Do
* Lead the development of custom content experience in greenfield consumer real estate websites using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and modern tooling.
* Guide architectural decision-making, establish technical patterns, and collaborate on long-term platform direction.
* Mentor and support developers: review code, provide coaching, run regular one-on-ones, and help teammates grow.
* Partner with product managers, designers, and domain experts to deliver impactful user-facing features.
* Participate directly in implementation work, including complex UI components, backend services, APIs, and integration logic.
* Cultivate a collaborative environment across engineering teams through sharing best practices, improving systems, and leveling up the team.
* Explore and leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code as part of our evolving workflow.
Skills You Should Have
* Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend and full-stack development.
* Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks, especially React (Next.js experience is a plus).
* Solid understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
* Prior experience mentoring engineers, shaping architecture, or providing technical leadership.
* Experience using a headless CMS and contributing to customizable content.
What Will Put You Over the Top
* Experience building a highly configurable and performant multi-tenant website platform.
* Experience building modern consumer-facing websites, preferably at scale.
* Background with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
* Familiarity with .NET and cross-stack environments.
* Familiarity with Kafka and event driven architecture.
* A passion for experimentation and proof of concept-ing.
