Kevin Ulrich is CEO and Senior Portfolio Manager at Anchorage Capital Group, the New York-based firm he co-founded in 2003. Ulrich earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Harvard Law School. He then entered the business world and has garnered over a quarter-century of experience in the money management and financial service industries. As an executive at Anchorage, Ulrich leads all aspects of the firm’s work—from portfolio management and risk navigation, to asset distribution and investment determinations. Under Ulrich’s leadership, Anchorage has emerged as a prominent and distinguished alternative credit and distressed manager firm. With operations in New York, London, and Sydney, Urlich oversees an international team of professionals offering top-tier investment services. Before co-launching Anchorage, Ulrich worked at Goldman Sachs in several roles including Managing Director, Head of Distressed Bank Loans, and Global Head of Bank Loan Trading. He oversaw the firm’s trading operation and proprietary investment portfolio. Ulrich is also Chairman of the Board of MGM; he has served as the director of the company since 2010.
