The Physician Assistant will see patients at the office on clinic days, will assist with surgery on surgical days, and will round on patients in the hospital. Job Responsibilities Include: Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications in collaboration with Dr. Shay Bess Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and follow-up care Maintain compliance with documentation, safety, and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes Performs hospital rounds for inpatients. Provides coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring spine care. Assists the physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions. Triage and respond to patient questions. Documents all patient encounters. Job Requirements: Master?s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado National Provider Identifier (NPI) Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must maintain throughout employment Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed during practice.
