We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! We are a general dentistry office, treating mostly adults and some children over the age of 8. Hygiene appts are a full hour.
We have a need for Tuesdays and Fridays only at this time. Patients are scheduled 8am to 5pm with a one hour lunch break. We conveniently located near the Alewife T station and have plenty of free parking.
You'll conduct dental cleanings, provide important oral health education, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Job seekers should have incredible customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent dental services. We are a smaller office and rely on good teamwork to make our days run more smoothly. Responsibilities:
Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
Protect patients' teeth by thoroughly cleaning them and applying fluoride or other sealants
Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history
Aid dentists by deliberating the best way to treat a variety of dental disease
Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities to ensure issues are caught early and can be treated
Qualifications:
Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located
Excellent communication and customer service skills
In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
Capable of standing all day to assist patients
