Position Overview: We are searching for dedicated and experienced Expanded Duty Dental Assistants (EDDAs) or (EFDAs) to join our passionate team at Just Kids Dental. As an EDDA/EFDA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to children and adolescents. Your primary responsibility will be working in the hygiene department, where you will focus on cleaning children's teeth and ensuring their oral health. However, there may be occasions when you will be asked to assist a dentist with operatory work, making your role dynamic and fulfilling. Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings for pediatric patients. Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records. Assist dentists during dental procedures when required, following 4-handed dentistry principles. Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments for dental procedures. Ensure the comfort and ease of young patients by explaining procedures and addressing their concerns. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients and their caregivers on proper oral hygiene. Collaborate closely with the dental team to deliver the highest standard of care. Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe operatory environment. Undertake lab tasks as instructed. Keep the hygiene area well stocked and organized. Occasionally assist the front desk with patient scheduling. Shift/ Scheduling: This is a full time position, Monday - Friday.
