This is traditionally the patient's first clinical point of contact so patient relationship, management of patient care, management of patient information, team communication, and demonstration of conduct and activities using patient centered medical home principles, policies and procedures is critical. Supports the vision and the mission of the Clinic at all times. The CMA will conduct pre-planning and prepping patient charts (entering orders needed), record patient data (ex, vitals, screenings), preform medication reconciliation, administer medication as directed by provider (oral, subcutaneously, or intramuscular), administer vaccinations, preform procedures (EKGs, breathing treatments, ear lavages, etc.), and educating patients. The CMA may have to float to a different department if needed. Current certification as a registered or certified medical assistant required. Must be computer literate. Must be current with BLS/CPR. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. This position requires an initial N95 mask fit testing and annual test fitting thereafter unless there is a significant change during the year that requires retesting prior to the annual fit testing.
