JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE:
The Medical Assistant I is responsible for assisting providers with the care and treatment of patients. This will include taking patients back, recording by documentation to the record weight, blood pressure, and other vitals per clinic policy; assisting with exams; CLIA waived testing as needed. This position will also cover for the receptionist when the receptionist is not able to work.
PRINICIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Call patients back and record the necessary vitals in the medical record.
Assist with procedures.
Run CLIA waived tests (dipstick urine, accu check, pregnancy etc.)
Phone calls to patients for follow ups or to schedule appointments for test results.
Schedule referrals and prepare and send records if necessary.
