The Medical Assistant verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and documenting purpose of visit. They prepare patients for examination, assist in procedures as appropriate and perform a variety of patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Duties range widely from administrative to clinical. Essential Functions: Maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines at all times. Using computer applications- performing any data entry tasks to document patient demographics, records or note to file.
