The role requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment while delivering essential dental services to the adult-in-custody population. Key Responsibilities Chairside Assistance: Prepare patients and treatment rooms; assist the Dental Officer during restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, and examination procedures. Clinical Duties: Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, apply temporary fillings and packs, make primary impressions, and fabricate/repair prosthetics under supervision. Radiography: Take digital and standard radiographs (periapical, occlusal, panographic, etc.), ensuring proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and digital image processing. Infection Control: Clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments; maintain strict infection control and disposal of contaminated biological waste.
