Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence & Chairside Support
Provide high-quality chairside assisting for all procedures
Ensure full readiness for the doctor: x-rays, intraoral/extraoral photos, CBCT, EyeSpecial ortho photos, Pearl AI review, charts, and treatment notes
Take and process all imaging: BWX, PAs, CBCT, intraoral photos, scan/impressions, etc.
Maintain sterile, organized, and fully stocked operatories at all times
Follow strict OSHA and infection control standards
Patient Experience & Education
Deliver a warm and structured new-patient workflow from imaging to doctor handoff
Confirm chief concern, smile assessment interests, and readiness for care
Highlight areas of urgency using approved clinical language
Assist with same-day treatment opportunities whenever possible
Treatment Plan Support
Help phase treatment based on urgency, chief concern, quadrants, and scheduling
Support financial presentation by confirming codes, phasing, and plan accuracy
Communicate confidently about restorative, orthodontic, implant, and surgical basics
Reinforce urgency phrases, insurance benefits, and next steps
Operational Excellence
Manage supply ordering, inventory levels, and back stock
Perform daily maintenance on autoclaves, mills, and equipment
Drain, clean, and refill autoclave water daily
Track and manage lab cases in our Lab Tracker
Complete post-op follow-ups, unscheduled treatment follow-ups, and assist front office as needed
Document all financial or clinical arrangements properly in Twelve
Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience
2+years of Dental Assisting experience (expanded functions preferred)
Proficiency in x-rays, CBCT, digital photography, and impressions/scans
