Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and WDS policies and procedures are properly followed.
Maintain proper patient treatment records.
Ability to take Blood Pressure.
Give pre and post-operative instructions - within the limits designated by the Oral Surgeon.
Provide oral hygiene instructions to the patient
Turn on all units, switches, and water before patient sits down
Stocks supplies in oratories, restrooms, lab, etc. as needed
Informs Floor Supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered
Informs Floor Supervisor of broken or malfunctioning equipment
Performs all duties of a Sterilizer when deemed necessary
Ability to build good rapport with patients and staff
Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma
Certified in the state you are applying as an RDA (CA, AZ, NV)
Must have a current X-Ray License
CPR and ACLS certificates required, OMSA or DAANCE preferred
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/ English)

Assists in the monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols.
Orders and maintains inventories of dental clinic supplies by working with the Purchasing Department.
Interacts with and processes dental clinic patients.
Maintains dental laboratory slips.
Creates and maintains dental records in accordance with established protocol and procedures.
Drafts patient letters as assigned by Dental Director.
Formats and word processes correspondences, reports, forms, etc., including proofreading and editing.
Records, composes, and word processes meeting minutes for clinical meetings and other committee meetings.
Assists with planning and implementation of meetings.
Prints patients' dental records per Authorization for the Release of Dental Records.
Assists in monthly reporting and quality improvement activities, such as the dental appointment statistics.
Weekly review of dental schedule to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
Monitor and process dental assistants' timesheets.
Maintains filing system.
Assists other departments with work processing when required.
Reports to work as scheduled consistently and on-time.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Dental Director.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate from accredited dental assistant program, if applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of California Board of Dental Examiners-approved radiation safety course.
1-2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Current and Active RDA license in good standing, if applicable.
Completion of 8-hour Infection Control and Law as required by the CaliforniaDental Boards, if applicable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team player.
Type 60 words per minute.
Knowledge of all current Windows based programs.
Ability to work under pressure without extensive supervision.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
