Role Overview:
The dental assistant (surgical assistant) at Nuvia Dental Implant Center plays a crucial role in assisting our surgeons and restorative dentists so they can focus on giving our patients a premium service that is safe and memorable. Our dental assistants have a full scope of responsibility from assisting in setup, surgery, taking impressions and pouring molds, X-rays to placing orders and working with our patients.

A Day in the Life:
Surgery prep and start: Prepare the instruments and patients for surgery and meet the surgeon and CRNA to review surgery expectations with the patient. Assist the CRNA with the intubation process and assist with surgery
Morning huddle: Review the day's schedule and partner with your team to discuss specific patient needs.
Meet lab deadlines: Work efficiently and strategically to meet tight deadlines, ensuring patients receive their prosthetics within 24 hours.
Overcoming obstacles: Use your experience to problem solve daily, to include equipment challenges, patient delays, and any patient concerns, to keep processes running smoothly and give our patience a top tier experience.
Perform Circular task: Keep Nuvia looking and operating its best by performing circular tasks such as ordering supplies, sterilization, ensuring compliance, and handling lab requests or questions.
End of day: Once you finish making smiles for the day, complete all surgery reports. Prepare for the upcoming patients by reviewing patient charts, lab cases, and implants to create the action plan for the following day.

Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to support its mobile school-based preventive dental services program. This position plays a vital role in improving oral health outcomes for children by delivering services in schools and community settings. The Dental Assistant will work with a licensed Dental Hygienist in a local health district and will also support administrative and educational outreach efforts.
In community settings, duties include setting up, breaking down, and maintaining portable dental equipment; reviewing patient forms and documents; assisting with patient management; assisting with oral screenings and recording of findings; and assisting with the delivery of preventive services including dental sealants and fluoride varnish using 4-handed dental techniques. Cleaning and disinfecting the clinical areas and equipment and sterilizing dental instruments in accordance with agency policy and protocols and relevant OSHA laws and guidelines are additional duties.
Administrative and community education duties include maintaining inventory of supplies; managing and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPPA and applicable state and federal laws and regulations; educating children and parents individually and in group settings or at events; promoting the dental program; and working with local public and private dentists to coordinate referrals for children with treatment needs.
This is an hourly-wage position with no benefits and limited to 1500 hours a year.

About the Opportunity
The Richmond Fed Supervision, Regulation, and Credit (SRC) department is now hiring for our 2023 Summer Internship Program. SRC is responsible for the supervision of bank holding companies and state member banks. Supervision is completed from two differing aspects, Safety and Soundness (assessing a bank's financial performance and risk management practices) and Consumer Compliance (assessing a bank's compliance with consumer guidelines such as Fair Lending and Community Reinvestment Act).
The Assistant Examiner Internship Program provides a unique experience in SRC to explore its business lines and is located in Richmond, VA. The program provides summer interns with the opportunity to enhance essential business skills and increase understanding of the Federal Reserve's regulatory role to support and evaluate the safety and soundness of financial institutions. During the program, interns will gain exposure to the supervisory process at financial institutions. This will include reviewing various reports, participating in meetings, interacting with management at supervised institutions, and making assessments on risk exposure. Topics of review may include adequacy of risk management processes, operational controls, financial condition, and/or compliance with banking laws and regulations. In addition, the intern will develop a relationship with a mentor, create and deliver presentations, and complete a final project.
The Summer Internship Program provides outstanding students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at a unique institution. Through advanced project work, assignments and professional development activities, interns are provided with an extensive understanding of the work of the Federal Reserve. Interns will be given the opportunity to enhance their business skills through critical financial analysis, formal presentations, research and writing. Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to support its mobile school-based preventive dental services program. This position plays a vital role in improving oral health outcomes for children by delivering services in schools and community settings. The Dental Assistant will work with a licensed Dental Hygienist in a local health district and will also support administrative and educational outreach efforts.
In community settings, duties include setting up, breaking down, and maintaining portable dental equipment; reviewing patient forms and documents; assisting with patient management; assisting with oral screenings and recording of findings; and assisting with the delivery of preventive services including dental sealants and fluoride varnish using 4-handed dental techniques. Cleaning and disinfecting the clinical areas and equipment and sterilizing dental instruments in accordance with agency policy and protocols and relevant OSHA laws and guidelines are additional duties.
Administrative and community education duties include maintaining inventory of supplies; managing and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPPA and applicable state and federal laws and regulations; educating children and parents individually and in group settings or at events; promoting the dental program; and working with local public and private dentists to coordinate referrals for children with treatment needs.
This is an hourly-wage position with no benefits and limited to 1500 hours a year.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of dentistry techniques and procedures and the use of standard equipment
• Experience working on a team
• Experience working with dentist or dental hygienist providing ‘4-handed dental' services
Additional Considerations
• Infection Control experience
• Successful completion of an educational program and certification as a dental assistant preferred
• Prior experience successfully working with children in a dental practice
