We have an immediate opening for a Physician Assistant. One year of clinical experience required. Surgical experience not required. Train alongside our team of Neurosurgeons and PAs. Primary role will be clinic based with responsibilities to include evaluation and management of neurosurgical patients in the outpatient setting. Other responsibilities include performing inpatient consultations and first-assisting during surgery during infrequent periodic cross coverage with our existing team of PAs. Call is from home and is distributed equitably. You will not be required to come in overnight. Must have Florida state license. This is a full-time Certified Medical Assistant opportunity in a well-established outpatient urology practice serving the Palm Harbor area. The role offers a predictable Monday-Friday schedule, strong clinical support, and long-term stability in a team-oriented environment.
Schedule
• Monday-Friday
• Day shift
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
Key Responsibilities
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and update medical histories
• Assist providers during urology procedures (including catheter care and cystoscopy support, as applicable)
• Prepare exam rooms and patients for visits and procedures
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy per protocol
• Collect and process specimens
• Accurately document care and clinical data in the EMR
• Provide exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Qualifications
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / CCMA / RMA) required
• Prior experience in urology or a procedural outpatient specialty preferred
• Strong clinical skills in patient prep, vitals, and clinical workflow
• Comfort working in a busy clinic environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
