The job utilizes a combination of skills including: + Clerical computer and phone skills + Customer service/people skills + Medical terminology + Hands on clinical skills Typical job skills include: + Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure + Updating medications, allergies and other information in patient's medical records + Performing some medical procedures, specimen collection and lab testing This is a combined posting for Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant Registered and Medical Assistant. Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: + Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or + Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or + Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or + Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration Or + Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification + National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. + Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months) Preferred Qualifications: + 6 months prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment. + 6 months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR). Associate Medical Assistant Salary Range, NE Washington: Min: $17.06, Max: $26.07 Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91/hr or higher depending on experience. Medical Assistant Registered: Required Qualifications: + Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire. + National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. + 6 months of healthcare experience. + 6 months of Medical Assistant experience. Preferred Qualifications: + Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk Medical Assistant Registered, Salary Range, NE Washington: Min: $17.06, Max: $26.07 Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91/hr or higher depending on experience.
